Heath Ledger (joker) is dead

He'd faster OD on Xanax or Valium (which he allegedly had) than coke. I'm willing to bet he mixed his prescription drugs and took way over the recommended dose, I'll wait until I hear the autopsy report.

IIRC I had a big fight with hl2.net about suicide. And it was because people here were calling suicides cowardly. What changed?

Who?

I just put W4d5Y on there, and Asuka is close to being put on. Then some guy whose name i cant remember right now is close too. Something with two g's in his name, and he posts terribly lame pictures.

EDIT: Oh, it was gormanmod. But it seems i was spared the effort since he got himself banned somehow.

Krynn, he was also Portalstormzzz, on a different account.

Asuka, facepalm.

oh well, i wish i can have a face to face conversation with some of you. I know that I'm coming off as a dick. But you have to understand, i hate suicide when its a choice. Not when someone has a disorder and cant reason well. I'm going to end my argument here.

Why exactly do you have this inherent hatred of people who refuse to be tormented another second? Would you prefer it if people suffered just so the sanctity of life is honored?

Also, CNN reports no residue was found on the 20 dollar bill

What the hell? You don't need all of that to do coke. All you need is a flat surface and, in this case, a $20 bill.

they're all telltale signs of coke use ..including a smooth surface + credit card with cocaine residue

He could have smashed up some pills for all we know, or he could have done nothing of the sort. Just wait and see...

which is my point: it could be nothing

Also, if you read that article, it clearly states, "CBS 2 in NYC is reporting cops found drug packets along with the $20 bill in Ledger's apartment."

as someone pointed out; unknown substance

Wtf?
These people are not Christians. Just like radical Muslim suicide-bombers are not really Muslim. For shame :frown: Does anyone remember Jason Issacs character on "The Patriot" William Tavington? I think we should do the same thing Tavington did, round up all those WBC hipocrite bastards, and burn down the church with them inside.(Then that would make me a hypocrite too though wouldn't it?) A fitting way to take them out in regards to Mr. Ledger's character in The Patriot as "Gabriel".:D

Judging someone for suicide is just as retarded as judging someone for his opinion.

I don't know why everyone goes on at Asuka for thinking that the taking of life is wrong, which seemed to me to be the more prominent view among normal humans, and no-one's complained that I think that suicide is a perfectly viable option...

I mean, it's not like it's your opinion or anything.

This sentence is the best Irony I've ever seen...

That is, assuming you're trying to hit Asuka with some "negative" comments...if not, then damn, I lol'd for nothing :(

heath ledger's death was just a conspiracy to get more publicity for the film

i'm not going to name anyone, but it's obvious that certain people made this happen...

Damn Michael Ceaton, I knew something was fishy about that guy.

He'll be back to life once Neron gets his whole contract-in-blood thing working again.

Update. It's been confirmed. Official toxicology report says accidental overdose. Speculation surrounding his death can now rest. RIP Heath.

BBC said:
Actor Ledger 'died of overdose'

Hollywood actor Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs, the New York City medical examiner's office has ruled.

The actor, 28, was found dead at an apartment he had been renting for several months in Manhattan.

A spokeswoman for the medical examiner said Ledger died "as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects" of six different drugs.

They include painkiller Oxycontin and anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Xanax.

Last week, his former partner Michelle Williams spoke publicly for the first time since the star's death, saying: "My heart is broken."

The pair met on the set of their film Brokeback Mountain.

The couple, who had a daughter Matilda, now two, split up last September.

I dont think it was entirely accidental.

He could easily of aquired information that specified what doses of drugs to take for a [possible] lethal effect. He might not of known it would kill him, but I think he intended to harm himself.

no not at all ..none of those drugs by themselves are anywhere near lethal unless taken in mass quantities ..he could have had a high toxicity in his blood from weeks or months of being on the meds which were prescribed by a doctor ..they usually dont give you drugs that conflict with each other ...he mixed too much of it at the same time as the autopsy showed it was accidental meaning he hadnt taken large quantities

Shut the **** up, idiot. People like you piss me off.

Six different types of prescription drugs.. now who takes six all at once? Two out of the six were anti-depressants, so maybe he really was that upset he wanted to harm himself.

People like you piss me off.

He was suffering from insomnia. Pretty badly, apparently.

People who actually "morn" over the death of an actor/actress, then don't bother with the tens of thousands of people who also died, more than likely doing something much more important than acting! Eh, I guess peoples priorities are in weird places.

It's been said in this thread before...

The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic. - Iron Joe

That's the most selfish thing someone could say. I'd understand if it was family, but someone who portrays a false identity on a screen holds more value to someone else?

That's the most selfish thing someone could say.

It's also right for the most part. And it has less to do with morality than it does perception.

The singular death of an individual has a name and a face that most people can attach to it. The multitudes of people who die regularly in Africa? It's a number with a string of 0's. Its statement of human death doesn't resonate as strongly, even if it is objectively worse.

The quote's author aside, it's not selfish. Callous, perhaps. But you're probably subject to it all the same.

Nope, I don't give a shit about everybody equally. I think it's just stupid for people to be pissing and moaning about a guy they didn't even know. They knew his name, and they enjoyed him in films he portrayed another personality. So in essence, you have no true idea who HE is, you just miss the fact that he is in movies. So you really don't miss him, you miss his acting, which somebody will fill his gap in no time. So really, no point in pissing and moaning about it, might as well just be thankful someone else has a chance to fill his shoes! kind of like, spring cleaning of the celebrity crew.

What he said.

Didnt really know him from films, but I do know him, if you know what i mean. I know his name, couldnt tell you what else he stared in apart from Knights Tale or whatever.

My first reaction was 'Omg i hope theyve finished Batman in time', which is of course horrible, but its true.

Lol, my dad asked me the same thing. I believe they finished filming, last I knew.
