Pokemon are Real...

The only thing is that I bet someone will take it seriously. This may be an attempt to kickstart an actual movement. Are we really running out of subcultures so badly we need to invent more just to rib them? Oh, I hope so; think of what people might come up with.

In a world where, say, Goreans exist, nothing is too unbelievable.
 
Eh, I'd rather tolerate this instead of some more mainstream forms of religion... seriously. At least these guys leave well enough alone and ignore all non-beleivers.

I'm considering making a thread over there and linking it to this thread, titling it something like, "Nonbelievers are Mocking Us:flame:"
 
What I mean is that I'm pretty sure they already know they are being mocked.

No gain to involve hl2.net explicitly.
 
I feel like I could provoke some amusing reactions. Also I believe that many of them are unaware they're being mocked (atleast of the ones not acting).

If you don't believe, then fine. But don't go around bad-mouthing people for having a different view on life than you do.

They're not hurting anyone by believing. They at least have the decency to give reasonable non-believers the time of day. Unlike you bunch, who make assumptions about people just like that *snap*.

Think of all the stories of God you hear. Of how these hardcore drug addicts and alcoholics saw the light of God in the sky or something like that. It's no different here. They may have caught a glimpse of a Pokemon, or talked to one, or even befriended one.

Think about that before you go insulting other people's beliefs.

In all seriousness, I reckon your beleifs are better than some others in this world, for the reason vegeta said.

Also Bignic, I think a lot of people think its crazy because all the cards, anime and video games came from the ideas of one man, who has in the past explained how the idea of Pokemon came across to him.

Finally, dont take it personally that we redicule your ideas. We are fairly indiscriminate when it comes to beliefs we find bizzare (see: Christian Extremists).
 
Drug experiences can be explained by science. Hallucinating while under the influence of drugs is not unbelievable. It's expected. (depending on the drug obviously)

I'm saying that I've heard plenty of stories of drug addicts and heavy sinners who turned around because they "spoke" to God. This is a similar case; people like you won't believe until you see one for yourself.
 
Kind of ironic how you yell at us for making fun of your beliefs, and then proceed to yell at us for choosing to not believe things until they can be proven.

Some of us don't believe in God either. You can relate believing in Pokemon to a million other made-up things, it's not helping your case.
 
That is possibly the weirdest the forum I have ever seen. Not the stupidist, that honor goes to the flat earth society forums, but the weirdest.

Even the Flat Earth Society has more evidence towards their cause (despite the mind boggling idea that Antartica doesnt exist).
 
My parents sent me to a therapist who pretended to be my friend but betrayed me by giving me pills that stopped my visions of Pokemon! :angry: But now that I'm 23, I stopped taking those evil pills and I'm starting to see the Pokemon once again! :cheese:

My advice is that if he tries to give you pills, accept them, but do not take them. My parents stil think I'm on mine! :rolleyes:
