Pokemon are Real...

There's not a single non-troll on that forum... either they're trolling by pretending to believe in pokemon, or they're trolling by attacking those other trolls. No way is anyone actually moronic enough to believe Pokemon are real, and especially not a whole forum...

I think you people are just wanting to believe in something that you know isn't real, as I'm sure is the case with Christians. I think we believe in any religion because we want to figure out what the purpose of life is, and we also want to know what happens after death. Most religions answer this as "You got to heaven or hell, but you better do whatever our religion says so that you can go to heaven." And we have been brainwashed so that we believe it's real so we are literally afraid of what they tell us is bad. "Ohh, my car pollutes, I'd better walk!" Well, you pollute when you fart too, but you don't see the pope holding his ass in a knot so that he doesn't fart... he smells as it is.

But back to what I was saying, we want to know, for comfort reasons, what has happened to loved ones after they die. We want to know they still exist, rather than believing the truth, that they are gone forever. Believing in the former is a lot easier on your emotions that thinking that you will never EVER see your grandma again. It's hard as shit to think that, that's why after my cat died (don't laugh, he was my best friend ever... had him since I was 3 months old, and he died in february. :( ) I started to believe in god again. I wanted to know that my little buddy was safe. It's hard thinking that what you wish was true is impossible, so I'll vote that fact as the reason that you believe what you do.

Yet there remains a fine line between imagination, and delusion... Pokemon is a cartoon made up by some guy in Japan. He GOT the idea to make pokemon, he didn't SEE one, that's why there's a cartoon instead of a church. If he really wanted to get the word out first I could see him making a cartoon for it, but then wouldn't it be filled with messages like "By the way, kids! did you know pokemans be REAL! O_O"? If you are really that desperate for pokemon to be real then you need to start living away from your entertainment and get some friends, because that kind of solitude and hoping is unhealthy for the human mind.

There, I'm done. 5 internets if you read it.

EDIT: Man, all these users from other forums have really got them paranoid. I'm surprised that Zero Puncuation hasnt been mentioned yet.

For us, Pokemon are very real. More real than you can ever imagine. We KNOW they are out there, and they know that we are here.

There have been signs, but they can only be seen by those who look for them. We're not doing you any harm in seeking, so why go out of your way to question us?

Now. These people used to be stuck-up elitist bastards just like you, until they had experiences with actual Pokemon. It's not something you can explain.

If you don't believe, then fine. But don't go around bad-mouthing people for having a different view on life than you do.

They're not hurting anyone by believing. They at least have the decency to give reasonable non-believers the time of day. Unlike you bunch, who make assumptions about people just like that *snap*.

Think of all the stories of God you hear. Of how these hardcore drug addicts and alcoholics saw the light of God in the sky or something like that. It's no different here. They may have caught a glimpse of a Pokemon, or talked to one, or even befriended one.

There's a lot more than that against you, from what I've read.

I firmly doubt more than 50 of the billions of people on this planet are actually thick enough to believe this "religion." And hate and love are human emotions, they lurk inside of us. Saying you see pokemon is like saying you see dead relatives. You are most likely crazy and need to be locked up. If I came over to you and said "I SAW GOKU! HE'S REAL!" I would more than likely be bullshitting you, but seeing how deluded you are, I would suspect you to believe it, so then I'd proceed to tell you "I also saw Jesus. He told me that I am his father."

YES! That's what we invented the camera for. I show my buddies pictures of things that happen on vacation all the time, but they have never once told me that "I think this was photoshopped, I mean, how do I know florida exists when I've never been? How do I know palm trees exist?" And to that I would just reply "You're a dumbass."

There are thousands of religions (like scientology, for my bifggest example.) that can give absolutely no proof other than some guy wrote it. There is no denying the truth that you are full to the brim with bullshit.

Well, here's the thing. We know that you made up this religion, just as you do, but to show me a picture of a rock and expect me to believe it's just a ditto playing mimic, that's just nuts. I know what it is, it's a rock, unless you can also show me firsthand that the ditto was there. Now I know that I contradicted this line of thought earlier, but in this case, you're asking me to believe in something that goes against what I have always known to be. Expecting me to believe that a sloth is actually a real slow poke is just rediculous in my eyes.

It seems that some people are taking it more seriously than us. According to them, Gamefaqs or someone is threatening to invade their forums, and they are banning a bunch of people if they think they are from somewhere else.

I used to see Pokemon all the time as a young boy, I used to run around and try to capture them, but my family thought I was strange. The just never understood my true connection to these wonderful creatures! They even had me on what they called "medication" which inhibited my abilities to see them! Now as a 23 year old adult I no longer have to take those evil pills and the Pokemon are appearing to me once again!
