(Metro 2033) That looks fantastic. What's the refraction effect all about (first two images)? Oh, I guess that is condensation on the gas mask? Cool.


I walked into this small, locked part of a cave and this goblin was already dead. I think it's pretty clear (and hilarious) what happened.

The whole game in general is beautiful. The sheer diversity in landscapes and brilliant colours makes it especially appealing.

Norm Koger is a god amongst wargames-devs, I have some of his earlier DOS titles and they're great too.

My first TOAW was TOAWCOW, aaah memories.

I always loved the ol' Korean War scenario!

It's so awesome in TOAW how you can have the non-ingame conflicts be simulated via text etc, I once had the original Korean war become nuclear war, only once though, but it felt cool none the less.

TOAW is a bit too hard for me though. :p I guess I'm more of a fan of the Steel Panthers type battles.

TOAW3 is the only one that I have so far, btw. I think it's interesting how the news keeps updating. "Millions Flood Korean Roads" lol.

The really interesting thing is that they actually know about Hanchongryon/Jeondaehyup (seditious lefty student group) and put them inside scenarios for the '99 and '05 Korean War 2 stuff. I went WTF at having a NK flag planted right in the middle of Seoul, and noticed that I had guerrilias. Put them down with several National Police units though.

I'm still not familiar with the nuke/chemical weapons system though.

So I did a quick re-texture of the Elven and Glass (armors and weapons).

I think they look a lot better. Maybe just different, but that's great because I'm tired of the way they looked.

I loved the style of glass weapons and armor in Morrowind, but in Oblivion it totally blows.
The Daedric is super sweet though.
 
Always fun when this happens. Note that Cake is not a clan it is but a small social group.

That shader blur looks like it would get old instantly. It makes me not want to play this game extra hard every time I see it in a screenshot.

The blur is a visual indicator to show your getting low on your gas masks filter, it isn't so prominent all the time.
