blizzard??,ubi soft, maybe EA also expect EA dont give a ratsass about there fans they just give them 9 rehashed sims expansions!!!!

Great work spitcodfry, just great! Great report and good news really. Valve is truly the greatest company and they are truly dedicated to their fans. This is the last thing I ever would have excpected Valve to do. Wow....just wow!

Again, great job!

Sorry dude, he didn't mention the 30th at all. Release info was never discussed on the tour cept' when I asked him intially.

I would have asked him every 5 seconds... but then again I would have gotten kicked out within the first minute :)

dont be an ass, some people are sensitive about that stuff. when i first saw the picture i thought he lost weight fomr e3.

I'd rather be overweight than really thin (like I am now)... at least you have a reason to suck at gym :dork:

rofl, this thread is growing in pages as I am trying to get to the end of it!

Cool stuff spitcodfry

shame he wasn't more specific in HL2 info would have been a nice gesture to show a fan some new stuff. But hey a tour is great still i wouldn't complain hehe

gyms suck. even when your in shape folks there are still jerks.

Good job, I live pretty close to VALVe too.

Correct. Some people are even over-weight and can't help it, it's something to deal with their genes.

There was a point in the tour when Gabe had me come in to chat with an employee, and we sat on a couch for a few in this guy's office. Gabe told me the number one thing they're worried about is getting the game to us, and hearing the community's response on what they like/don't like. Now that is dedication

It suprised me..

Gabe Newell I think looks like... robin williams..... HE DOES! just a little bigger.

and it suprised me...again...

I thought Erik J was black? lol whatever :-P

and spits you look like erik... I think you do

Gabe for Govenor! (Of California)

...say...besides the receptionist, were there any other females around the valve office?

i guessed how many expansions EA made they will likely make more and more and until that cash cow is dry!!

blizzard takes a long time cause they get the job done right the first time i respect that. every game they put out is top notch quality you can't deny that :)

lol at any point did you mention the ideas that were being fired off on the fourms to get you in? lol

probably not eh? would be kind of embarssing to tell him you were going to dress up as g-man ;P

It would be cool if Gabe used his account here to comment on the tour in this thread :)

Seeing as the hectic nature of this thread has died down a litte, I'll take the time to elaborate more. Their offices looked like they were designed by The Sharper Image...very nice, indeed. A stainless steel, carved look to everything. All the interlocking doors around its circular design had locks on them...from a glance you'd think security was pretty low key, but its not. Like I mentioned earlier, it was sort of luck that a Valve employee happened to come up the elevator when he did...I might've been standing at the elevators for god knows how long!

Blizzard has released several beta-versions of a patch!!!
They also invited fans to their offices and let them play to get their opinion, and when they wanted something changed, they edited the code and continued playing.

it would be cool if this became the official HL2 site ... right?

i wish ya had grabbed a pic of that valve in the waiting area :)

Is this site based in Europe? Many of the forum-goers here mention living in the UK

I know what blizzard has done. I was HARD CORE into d2 for years. but it is rediculus to take this long for a patch, they need to get it out. They can patch it again to make more balance changes later if they need to.
