64 was GIVE ME A BEER BITCH...don't remember what 84 was. I only play hl2 on weekends and i usually go on the OLDFARTSCLUB.com servers but lately they've been pretty desolate so i'm The Drifter (LOL) and go to any deathmatch server that's not low-grav.


I haven no seen 2x4 since last october seriously, I think i'll send him an email and see how he's doing, he always sends me random fwd chain mail emails lol
 
Haha nice. I could have sworn he deleted his steam account for some reason, his computer broke or something but I don't know why he'd delete it. Coat told me that Speedy was banned for hacking or something...

Yea i see jam every once in a while same with flaccid...Raven is on 24-7 lol.

Flaccid actually lives in my city and owns his own tattoo shop downtown, i have still yet to visit him lol

So I tried Axe shampoo and Axe spray deodorant (got both in a pack as a xmas gift from my gramma) for the first time today, and m god this stuff lasts all day and then some. I still smell good. I may just use this overpriced stuff from now on.
 
My boss gave me some of that shit, ew.

I finished all of my essays now I just have to do my physics.

So I just had quite a bit to drink and can't help but realize how much calmer I take things than the other lodgers in my apartment. I can't help but think that even with all my apparent flaws, that they are all much weirder/stranger than I am and I can't something something.

I guess I could finish that with what I normally intended to finish it off with but....yeah. I'm going to sleep.

I like this thread.

Also, I registered for classes today. Only taking 12 hours this semester, but after the insanity that was last semester's 17 hours I think I deserve some kind of break, yeah? I thought so too.

Deodrant is for kids and people standing infront of you in queues that reak because they think deodorants stop them from sweating/smelling.


On a funnier note, I just found out I need to do 160 hours of work with a company as part of my module, and as a result I dont have lectures for it for the rest of this, my last, semester at Uni.

Now I only have 2 lectures a week....FOR GOD SAKE!!!!! I hate this!!

Well... First, let me say that this is simply opinion, but in this case my opinion is eerily similar to fact.

When Pendulum released Hold Your Colour, way back in 05, they immediately became the golden boys of the drum and bass scene. Hold Your Colour was lush, textured, and more importantly, brought in a new sound for d'n'b in general. I obsessively listened to that album - the track Hold Your Colour in particular was a stunning tune. It seemed like Pendulum were going to be the best d'n'b producers of the generation, and the two bonus tracks for Hold Your Colour, Axle Grinder and Blood Sugar backed that up. Sure, Blood Sugar was a bit tacky, but who's to blame them for making such a stomping tune.

So yeah, I hear they have a new album coming out, In Silico, and I'm very excited. I hear Granite - it's different, but quite good. Then Propane Nightmares. That's, uh, okay I guess... Maybe they're releasing the anthemic tracks first, right? Then the album comes out. It's

FUCKING APPALLING.

It's like they thought 'Oh man what if we mixed the rolling breaks of d'n'b with the slamming guitar riffs of bands like Muse, wouldn't that be cool?' Yeah I guess it would. Unfortunately The Qemists did it about two years ago (and much better, I might add) with their track Stompbox. So essentially In Silico is an uninspired, derivative pile of shit. They reuse vocals from Hold Your Colour. They try and fail to cut up an Amen break. Most of the tracks are bad enough to make me cringe. I liked Ciara's album more than this.

RIGHT

So why Pendulum were bad.

They played a live set. Which is cool, it's good to see drum and bass moving off the turntables.

Their major mistake was to bring an MC. One of the worst MC's I've heard.

Then they played some of their new material, with the MC spouting verbal excrement all over. 'IT'S A NEW DAAAAAWWWWN' 'GO GO GO GO **** **** **** UH UH YEAH PENNNNDULUMMMM' 'WOOP WOOP PENDULUM KRU'

So that was painful. I was watching TV On The Radio's drummer practicing on the next stage, which was infinitely more interesting.

Then they played material from Hold Your Colour. Now, although I've said a lot of good about it, by today's standards, it is dated. But, you know, it would still be good for nostalgic value. But no, they bungled up almost every track, and the MC continued 'spitting' his shit. It was heartbreaking, hearing classics like Tarantula and Slam mangled by these incompetent ****wits.

That's why Pendulum sucked.

Because you have to learn to not have your own taste in music, Digi. It's bad for you, you know that.
 
Not so much strife but I got a 74 mark in my Communication and Persuasion coursework--equivalent of a first. I'm so pleased 'cuz I didn't think I could do that well, and most other people's marks were quite low in comparison. I might have got the highest mark in the class.
 
This is anti-strife, but there's no "Good things lately" thread, so I'm throwing it in here.

I got into grad school and they will give me money to hang out in a lab testing how carcinogens move around in dirt. Yayyy :D
 
I got 16/30 points on my physics assignment that I waited until eleven to start last night.
 
I got 3 performance exams in music starting Monday.

I ****ing hate preforming on the saxophone.

I went to my friend's Uni last night where we had a Nerf war then drank a little then went to his room where my friend played acoustic and we both sang. Then we watched a few movies, had a great time with a few of his girly friends that are up there. One thinks I'm cute, and I thought she was, too! Haha :p Might go back up next week and hang out with him again and her! Woowoo. Also, it's a 3 hour drive to his UNI. **** is all I have to say.

Also, today I had to drive home before 4 O'Clock and shower and change and what not because I had work then, and I left at about twenty till 1 PM, and I arrived home at 3:15. I flew home. I went to work. I'm home and I've yet to eat a single thing today.

I'm kind of hungry.

Someone feed me or order me a pizza. Please.

I had to do thirty hours of job shadowing, basically watching someone work for thirty hours and I only did eight. I got the guy to write me off for thirty.
