I side with the others who are watchin this in IMAX. IMAX or stay home, seriously... we're talking Dark Knight here... movie of the summer if not year.

Goin to the Irvine Spectrum with the missus, 1:25am showing I think it is and it's not quite the exact release day, but it'll feel the same.

Rotten Tomatoes now has quite a few more reviews bringing it down to 88%! :O http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the...columns&sortby=rotten&name_order=asc&view=#mo
It seems like New York hates the movie, film critics that is. Some comments are funny too: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_dark_knight/comments.php?reviewid=1741327

F*ck the nay-sayers, most of the bad reviews are because the movie is GASP ... FAST-PACED?!?!?!?
DEAR GOD NO.

I got the feeling that it was going to be a rush from the trailers.

I'll probably see it in a regular theater. Digital Projection at best. I want to see it in Imax though...

meh

Tomorrow night!!

I might not have time to dress up though :(

I'll just wear my Frank Miller Batman shirt.

I don't want to drive 2 hours to see it on IMAX with my schedule, so a digital screen is nice enough for me. I've never actually been to an IMAX, but I plan on going when Avatar gets released for sure.

Yeah, I wouldn't venture into the IMDB board unless you like to have spoilers thrown at you from out of nowhere.

I don't blame anyone but myself for visiting it.

Oh well.

It has a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes! Holy shit.

Damn, i just spoiled it. I read about important shit that happens. I knew i didn't want too, but i did.

****

Good thing I never go on the IMDB message boards, they're worse than these forums as far as movie elitism is concerned.

Yeah I was interested about Pirates of The Caribbean 3 talk and they are like that. Staying clear from the spoilers and IMAX on Sunday in Reading, MA is now sold out! Good thing I got tickets a week before the real pre-sale started. :D

Can't wait for tomorrow.
I have stuff to do during the afternoon so I'm going to a 6:45 showing with my friends at Providence Place.
Going to be awesome.

I hope all you ******s who are watching it right now have a good time.

Impressions of The Dark Knight

I just got back from the premier, and holy **** I am blown away. I cannot remember the last time I watched a movie and felt so satisfied.

Brilliant, brilliant movie, there was not one scene I thought was misplaced, dialogue was amazing, acting was amazing, story was amazing.
So many wonderful and quotable lines, and humor done in good taste. And who didn't laugh when
The Joker did his pencil trick, or when he came out of the hospital in a nurses outfit blowing the place up.

The only minor tiny complaint I might find is that Dent's make up could have been better when you know what happened.
But that doesn't do anything to my score I give it a 10/10

GO F*CKING SEE THE DARK KNIGHT

In all honesty, I hope it stops there, it ended perfectly.
(Also, use spoiler tags)

There was one thing I didn't understand-

When Rachel and Dent are both attached to the explosives, why does Batman tell the Squad that he is going to get Rachel if he really intended to get Dent?

I seriously think this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Every second of this movie had me hooked.

To the OP: Are you flippin' crazy? Dent's makeup was amazing, I was shocked by how graphic and ****ed up it was when it came onscreen, and the audience seemed to have a similar reaction.

Oh it was awesome for sure. I just thought his CGI parts could have been a tad better.

The Joker purposely told Batman incorrect locations so that he could later get Dent (Two-Face) to go nuts..

Ahhh, that makes sense now.

Also, when the Joker (don't worry, this isn't a spoiler) broke the Pool Stick, what was he expecting the guys to do with it to win the position? Just kill each other with it or what? Because people in the audience were like "OOOO" as if there was a darker meaning I didn't catch.

I forgot to add that I pretty much agree with everything you said except the part about Dent's makeup/special effects.

This movie was bible worthy.

"Thou shalt watch The Dark Knight"

he was holding "tryouts", whoever can be the last one standing is the person he wants to join him

Keep up the spoiler tags folks. We English folk don't get to see this film until Thursday.

and Friday, Saturday, Sunday, the following Monday etc..

In your case, at least.

I will be seeing this tomorrow morning after I watch Begins again tonight. ****ing pumped

I think I can safely say that in my entire life, I have never seen better villains than Joker and Two-face in terms of acting, character, dialogue, everything. Performing an initial memory scan, this includes all James Bond villains, Agent Smith, umm... Barbossa and Davy Jones, ("starting" to draw a mental blank), Magneto? There's probably more around here somewhere....

You get the idea.

For the folks who haven't seen the movie, try to remember some of the lines The Joker, Wayne, Dent, and Alfred said, because some of them were very intelligent classic lines.

Also, I was happy to see a brief appearance of
The Scarecrow <3 Favorite Batman Villain. Although The Joker and Two-Face film portrayals make him look like nothing.

Both The Joker and Harvey were so great. I mean, I know more people care about The Joker, but there were parts when Harvey would flip out and I would think, "That's a great depiction of someone with mental instability/intense anger issues."

Which of the movies in the old series did you people like?

Batman (1989)
Batman Returns (1992)
Batman Forever (1995)
Batman & Robin (1997)

Everyone says the fourth sucks, so I won't watch that, but I don't think I've seen the third one, is it worth the money it costs to rent it? The first two were alright, but it's been like 10 years since I watched them.
