Understanding females - Hl2.net verison

first off, find yourself, then be yourself. a little confidence doesnt hurt, other than that, just have fun and dont worry so much.
also like some others said, theres a real common misconception that theyre completely different beings, thats just bull. some girls are actually pretty cool.

It's the same concept that people couldnt seem to grasp in some other thread a while back.
That many men find stupid women a turn off regardless of how they look.

Hes not saying you gotta be a faggy male model but a nice fashion sense is ALWAYS better to have than NOT to have. I dont care if your a girl, i say your wrong many girls love it when you dress nicely, i never dress preppy but throwing on a polo shirt and having a lil swagger in your style is key. its worked for me.

That's nice for you, but polo shirts and swagger are not, and never will be MY thing, personally. I mean, polo shirts are fine and all, I have nothing against them, but the idea of a man wearing one and "swaggering" makes my skin crawl a bit. I don't mind how men dress. I've dated guys who had a really individual look, and guys who dressed plainly. I dress weirdly most of the time, so as long as they don't mind me, I don't mind them! Also just because "many girls" love it when guys dress like a mannequin, doesn't mean I'm wrong ;)

maybe you dont recognize swagger when you see it, but then again ive never seen a girl who id even be interested in that posts on forums so you prolly have a whole different taste in guys.

also i didnt mention this but being funny is KEY, and thats having them laugh with you not at you. no one can argue that.
 
I really like a man who can laugh at himself, if you know what I mean. But being funny is lovely. I think everyone is funny in their own way though.

a) make them talk a lot about things and exchange ideas for hours
b) make them laugh more than talk about profound things, for a shorter time though
 
i know what you mean by laughing at yourself and of course everyone likes that.

your new rule is kinda taking it overboard though.

I encourage people to laugh at me. I joke around a lot, and I expect people to do the same to me. You've gotta be able to take it to dish it. D:

I'm a really sarcastic person off of the interwebs. Sometimes, even on here.

Sometimes people get mad at me for joking on them. D: Then I tell them that I expect them to laugh at me for doing something dumb... Usually lightens them up.

I'm 19 and I've never touched a girl. The funny thing is, I'm not ugly, fat (well, I used to be a bit heavier, but that didn't stop girls from being attracted to me for some reason), or really awkward.

Well, I guess it depends how you define awkward. I'm awkward when it comes to making the first step, but everyone who knows me generally likes me. It's really sad, but I think things are starting to change.

In my defense, just in case you're thinking "this guy has to be hideous or fat," here's a recent picture :(

But yea, once you get so old, shyness takes a backseat to basic human needs, I guess. That and my confidence has grown a lot. So things are starting to change. I'm still super self conscious about everything I do / how I look, but whatever. It's not all bad.

But anyway, yeah, I'm about the same. A lot of people like me, and I have lots of friends who are girls. I'm trying to make a first step now, It'll probobaly end out as a 'Oh thanks for [insert gift here] It's really nice.] And it'll end like that. Of course, I'm 14 so it's a bit different here.

I just don't even feel like bothering with relationships anymore. After my last relationship, I haven't really had any new interests in girls. I think it has a lot to do with me thinking that it's just going to end the way the last one did and that it's not even worth my time. I'll come around next year in college I think...


The above statement doesn't imply that the other girls are specifically interested in me. (That I'm aware of.) Probably due to the fact that they don't know me very well.
