What did you do today in Oblivion?

Got lost...
dammit, can somebody please tell me where this garden is to meet mr. fox?

It's in the waterfront. Go down the pier to the very end where pirates are - just before where they congregate is a stairway through an arch to the left. Go through it and hang an immediate left through a camp-like place. There's a fenced in area after you take the left and go to the end. You'll pass a bum on your left sleeping on a bedroll (if it's midnight - when you need to meet him). There's 3 people when you first go there, an argonian, some chick and a guy with a torch in the center.

Hope that helps.

w00t! My sneak was only at 18 yesterday, but now i've gotten it up to 100. I snuck up on a troll and killed it in three swings with a bound dagger. BTW, i'm a lvl 11 - Dark Elf - custom combat class under the warrior.

Lets see...

Finished the main quest

Finished mage guild recommendations

Did 2 arcane university quests

Got kicked out of the fighters guild...on the first mission. I was fighting with the 3 other fighters guild members in the cave against the trolls...and I must have hit the orc guy by accident and he started chasing me. Before I knew it we were fighting to the death and I killed him..now I need 20 bear pelts to get back in

I started a new character got to lvl 15, kicked all ass...beat the Dark Brotherhood trying to do a Thieves Guide quest but it dosn't tell you how to do it or where to go or anything stupid ****ing quest I want to kill it... Cleared out several dungeons, got 30k, and overall kickin ass.

Reached the third rank in the arena.
Finished "the well" mages guild recommendation.
Found a steel bow.
Learned the buoyancy spell.
Got better at lockpicking.
Reached level 5.

Finally finished getting all the recommendations for the Mages Guild and went to pick up my staff.

Accidentally killed my horse by jumping off a waterfall. :(

went on my first assasination quest where I had to kill the captain of a pirate ship ...wasnt all that subtle and ended up killing his entire crew ..must work on being more quiet next time

also made it to journeyman in alchemy ..awesome way to make cash ..I went from 120g to 1131g just by making potions with what I had collected during my assassination quest

Last night I cleared my previously haunted house of its nasty ghoulies and am living in comfort for a relatively cheap pricetag! I just wish I could change the furnishings--any ideas?

Also killed a bunch of vampires for Azura's Star--that thing is one of the best prizes in the game IMHO. I just want to know what souls are "great" and what are "lesser" and whatnot.

Yeah Dark Brotherhood has a real good story behind it. Real good twist.

With my first character I snuck past everyone, killed my guy. Then the other guys tried to get in so I killed them, raced out and let the guards handle the rest.

I finished a big quest in the main storyline.

---------

I went to Dagon Shrine to recover the Amulet of Kings. At first I went through the whole ritual and was ganked when I tried to take the Mysterium Xarses. So I loaded a save and tried a different approach. I refused to give the dude all my possesions, finished him off (together with the sentry nearby) and went into stealth mode. I watched the ritual from a safe distance and waited for everyone to leave. Just one dude was guarding the book so he was easy to pick off, esp since I now had all my weapons and armour. I left this dungeon with my knapsack filled upto the brim with loot. I also found this shopping list. I guess they were planning a big party :naughty:

---------

Back in Bruma I went on the Lifting of the Vale quest. That was pretty cool. Got me a very nice 2000 gold ring afterwards.

Lets see.. I sold my stolen items to the man in Bruma. I killed the captain on the pirate ship and stole his gold, keys, etc.. I beat the whole Kvatch quest and brought Martin to the Temple. Thats where I stopped. I might continue to play.

This is my first RPG....

And...

I...

Love...

It..

I saw the owner of the Market Jewelry Store outside in an alley, so I pickpocketed the key to the store off him and returned around 1AM. I picked all the locks and stole every last piece of jewelry. Haha.

Oh, and on the head thing.. I couldn't find the crawl space either.. But eventually did.. And about not alerting the guards.. you just have to be ridiculously cautious.. So far I've gotten the bonus on all the Assasination quests, and I'm on Dead Drop 6 or so..

Thanks a ton :D I had a lot of fun after that.

I was doing the initiation quest, and I followed the chick into the house. She went downstairs, I went up. I picked the lock, waltzed in, and was greeted by two fully awake residents, who called for guards.

I ran downstairs to meet up with the other thief, but she had left. Instead, there was a guard- but, I couldn't pay my fine, because I had no gold. I didn't want to go to jail, because I feared I would run out of time. So I resisted arrest. I jumped past this first guard, and went outside. I ran aroudn town for a bit, until I had about 10 guards following me. I was trying to think of what to do- I tried yielding, but I still would have to go to jail. I resisted again, and ran off. Suddenly, I remembered the pirates.

Earlier, the pirates had all been killed by the guards when they attacked me for snooping around their ship. I went aboard with no troubles, and made my way to the chest of booty.

I had 17 picks at my disposal, and I set to work picking. The lock is very hard, meaning I had to put all the pins up, and I think I'm only an apprentice at security. I use a few auto-attempts, all of which break. I try it myself, and get all but one. I Go back to the regular game, four gards materialize in, and my ragdoll is thrown against the wall.

I load from the autosave from when I got in, and try again. I break all my picks but one, with one pin left. I hold my breath, push up, and click.

The chest opens.

I grab the loot, pay off my debt, and finish the quest. awesome.

I've done both Thieves and Dark Brotherhood.

It's cool now, I can put on my gray fox helmet and start a fight with a guard and kill him, go hide and take it off and my bounty's 0.

I now have the ability to kill and steal and run around town with no guards following me while at the same time never going to jail or paying a fine.

How in the bloody hell do you get the mouse button on screen during lock picking adventures? I click like a mad man till it finally shows up.

Just move the mouse to the bottom of the screen.

That'll be my task for tomorrow... complete those guild quests.

Today I made a thief assasin type character (my other is a sickeningly nice mage) and snuck into a nice looking house in Bruma, via the basement. This was my first attempt at murder/robbery, and it went all terribly wrong. Breaking in during the day was an obvious mistake, and attacking the house owners bodyguard turned out to be fatal - he was huge, and pounded my tiny Dark Elf in a few hits.

Armed with experience I went back, this time in the dead of night. The old man who owned the house was dispatched quickly in his sleep (with a little squeak :)). After sneaking into the bodyguards room I saw that he sleeps with his 2H mace. Realising that this had to be removed from the equasion to stand any chance of survival I pickpocked the mace and started hacking away furiously with my tiny sword. This prompted a 5 minute long fight with him chasing me up and down the stairs, and through every room in the house, while punching wildly with his big fists. He nearly killed me a few times, but a crap load of poison and a few arrows to the head won the day \o/

Now I have a lovely house in Bruma (with a few corpses) :)

(btw, the old guy dropped a key - Baenlin's Key - anyone know what it unlocks?)

How do I kill ghosts? They're really starting to piss me off.

Nice double post.

as a matter of fact im having problems with both of these guilds...with the thieves guild, Armand tells me to speak to the woman, she tells me shes busy and wont give me a job.

with the DB im stuck on the 3rd Dead Drop, where i have to kill the guy in Bruma. i go to his house and wait...wait...wait...and he never shows up! could it be that i killed him? but the game would have made him go jusr unconscious right?

No.. If they want him killed, and you already killed him, then he is dead.

Today I did a quest to find the eye of some god that a theif stole, I had to listen in on a conversation between the two theives (waiting in the shadows of course) and then they gave away the position where they hid the eye, so I went to the cave, got the eye, and offered it to the shrine, I was rewarded by the god with a skeleton key which gives me a permanent +40 add to my security skill, so now I can break in almost anywhere without losing a single lockpick :)

I also went to Pale Pass and found the leftover loot from a thief who had passed there before me, and following his clues left in a note, I was able to find a chest hidden in the frozen tundra of Pale Pass which had a 3000 gold ring inside that gives me +3 to strength, endurance, blade, block, and agility

Following that, I went to Leyawinn I believe and my fence told me that there is a ghost that roams around outside town, so I went and inspected it and the ghost told me to go to the wreck of his ship and let him free, so I swam to the opposite coast and entered the wreck to be greeted by a group of undead wraths. So I reached the bottom of the boat and killed the traitor of the crew whom chained up the captain and tried to steal his treasure map, so I kicked his undead ass, unlocked the skeletal remains of the ghost-dude, and he gave me a treasure map to a chest with a few glass weapons, 300 gold, and some basic non-magical rings, not too shabby tbh

The guy in Bruma, if I remember correctly he's the one that fights with his fists. He's ALWAYS in his house, and he expects your attack. Theres a trapdoor in his house.
I think thats him, I just ran through the quests today but I might not be able to remember correctly.

I love dungeons! I've been messing with TES. Thinking about rapidly increasing fight time\make a stealth based mod.
My Fight time mod would be lowering health or increasing damage on weapons.

My Stealth Based mod which I recently quickly made(The stealth attack part anyway) is a mod where you get a x9999 for all stealth kills, but they are all signifcanlty more powerful so they can easily kick your ass in a 1 or 2 hits.

Not the one I fought - he sluaghtered me a few times with a big mace beofre tok a more subtle approach.

Closed another OBG and found some wallhack gloves (shows life upto 60ft away).

Stole about 10000g worth of stuff from a Contess in Bruma. Hehe. ;)

I have 75% resist desease jewelery and 50% resist poison.

Today I made it to the 1rst gate. And I got the cheat code for gold so I am RICH!

assasinated some dude bought some magic and broke into a few homes and stole stuff ...made some great potions ..alchemy is a powerful skill after journeyman ..also great way to make wads of cash ..I could probably grind about 1000g an hour or two just selling potions

anyone know how I upgrade my armoring skill without repairing? is there a trainer I can go to? (cant fix my magic stuff till I'm journeyman and I'm sooo close)

Yes, there are armoring trainers. Not sure in which city tho.

I wish someone would make a guide for Oblivion like the multitude of guide websites for WoW ...finding info is kinda hard
