I remember those boots. There was a glitch in it so they wouldn't blind you, then once I updated with the patch it was fixed and I was all pissed .

Just buy a resist magica 100% for 1 second spell and put the boots on right after you cast it. It'll hold until you take them off or they get broken.(which happens all to easily because they're just leather boots ;(

Why not just enchant a regular helmet with resistance to magicka or water breathing or both!? Go get Azura's star--best item I have found yet...really helps when it comes to enchantments!

After playing the Condemned and GalCivII demos (both recommended) I decided to start up a new char. I was kinda getting tired of my spellsword, so I decided to jump on the thievery bandwagon. I created a Khajiit female with Thief as a class and Thief as a sign. Her name is Tigrana, hehehh.

I'm pretty sure you can because I am an assassin born under the sign of the thief and I enchant this and that when the mood strikes me. All you have to do is

get all of the Mages' Guild recommendations and get into the Arcane University, then you have free access to the Enchantment Stand--a very powerful podium it is too!

There is a cemetery near the main tower in Imperial City. Most graves are simple tombstones, but there is one little monument. If you look closely you see an inscription of a sun. Be there at noon and press your use button.

If I press it right at noon on a cloudy day it will still work then? I thought it was supposed to glow or something at noon when the sun hits it ala the Map Room in Raiders of the Lost Ark? And when it did nothing I figured, well, crap...? I'll have to try it in another few game hours. Thanks!

But the red argonian... my only brother who I could savely call my "friend", possibly the only one I had in all of Cyrodil... just before the final blow was struck he uttered "why, brother, why?" It made me feel so... tratorous. Dispicable.

I know I've moved up in the world. I know I'm now much more important than I could have ever been as part of the sanctuary. I've been accepted as a... "fingernail"... on the Black Hand of the brotherhood. But... I can't help feeling that I'm here at my kindred's expenses. It was a purification. It was necessary.. But... I fear I killed a large part of myself in that sancuary, too.

It's not bad. I never feed unless I really can't help it (if I need to talk to somebody and they're completely terrified and my charm power doesn't do the trick).

I don't know about you but after a certain point in the game, for tedious trips that I've taken plenty of times I start to fast travel. I go outdoors at like 9pm and fast travel to wherever. If I happen to travel to a place where I end up arriving during the daytime...I have always had enough time to run into a nearby building and wait until nightfall yet again. Stat bonuses, skill bonuses and extra powers are just awesome for steath characters especially.

I am having a lot of fun with my new alt. It's funny; first I played a spellsword, so lots of melee and tanking into dungeons. Now I play a supersneaky Khajiit Thief born under the sign of Thief. It's a whole other game now. I have moved from hack 'n' slash to stealth and the gameplay, mechanics change completely.

I don't understand people's complaints about the super awareness of guards. As long as you're in sneak mode and the sneak icon isn't glowing up bright yellow, you can basically do everything you want. I have pickpocketed quite a few characters and broken into a number of houses, but until now nobody ever caught me.

Anyway, my Thief is the perfect character for the Dark Brother Hood quest arch I am following now.

Great missions, every one of 'em. Dropping the Minotaur head on the target was hilarious. I also very much liked sneaking back into the prison for the assasination. And thanks to the mission in Imperial City to kill that skooma addict, I now have a house for free. There are two bodies in it, but I have the key, so I should be safe.

I created an Argoanian Assassin, saying "Screw it!" to the main quest I decided to join the thieves guild, I have also pickpocketed alot of keys belonging to stores in the Imperial City too.

After i'm over the thieves guild, I will start to work with the Dark Brotherhood.

Been busy lately. I notice a lot of you guys are on or up to 5 characters on the game... I still remain at one. :/

Anyway, I completed all of the Mages recommendations and made it to the Arcane Uni, and bought/learned a crap load of spells (my favourite being Unlock Hard), and also received my staff. (Illusion - Paralyze).

A strange thing happened in one of the Fighters Guilds (I forget the city), I was nicking an axe that was locked away in a display case when I was confronted by some guy, who proceeded to attack me.
After killing him in front of the entire guild, I was surprised that there were no repercussions from the law. So after levelling up..... well a lot of you know what happens in such a situation.

Oh, and became a gladiator in the arena.

Closed the Oblivion gate by Bruma and got an amazing Ring of Wizardry (+10 to every magical attribute--sweet!!!).

Also got a deadric claymore that I can't wait to enchant!!! Thank goodness for Azura's Star!

Yeah I felt the same way when I changed from warrior to assassin, it's a totally different game.

Today I made a "branch-off save" (so I can easily revert back) where I became a vampire on purpose just ot see what it's like. And tbh, the only useful power is the day 1 power. IMO of course.

Reached champion in the arena, and found an unmarked camp north-east of Bruma chock full of Mithril items.

I'm now well over my encumberance, but thanks to a feather spell I created myself I can easily carry it all around for two minutes at a time.
