What do setting do you use for your mouse setting? I use about 10-11 but I read somewhere that a lower setting was better for more accurate head shots. What do you think?

I'm running a 9800 pro on a HP 200w supply with no problems as are many others.It is the quality of supply that is more important than the actual wattage.

Basically I get 75 fps with everything on high and 75fps with everything on medium with shadows on low. Can anyone tell me the reason for this? P4 2.4 9800 pro stock speeds 512ddr 2100

I got another 3000 aquamark3 by going from 4.9 to 8.07 omegas. These also have AI without the need for CCC. What is the advantage of AI and what should it be set at ( it,s on NORMAL at the moment) P 2.4 9800 pro 512 ddr 2100

I have seen a increase but I have also upped the detail/shadows etc so the fps have not really shot up that much. There was a bigger improvement in doom3.

No the 4200ti virtually stopped with aa/af enabled

I have just gone from a 4200ti 64 meg to a 9800 pro 128 meg in readiness for HL2 and C.S s. My aquamark3 has gone from 23000 to 34600 but I was expecting a bigger jump. Is this about right or is something else holding me back? P4 2.4 512 2100 ddr.

Believe me, I know that there are some highly skilled players (me not being one of them :frown: ) Its good to here that most people think there is not much cheating going on. I'll just have to practice some more....and more. :D

Am I correct in saying that once you register a game with Steam you have to play via them, even single player games.
