Loool - I was just about to order a Boards of Canada EP (In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country) at Amazon.co.uk, and look at who's review is at the top - dogboy73!
Yeah, this happened to me on the advanced level too. I tried re-loading my savegame, but it still did the same. Can someone confirm whether or not this can happen in the normal levels, because I'm not so sure...
Yeah - Portal Walkthroughs :)
Piece of advice - only use these if you've completed the game, or if you are *really* stuck, otherwise you'll ruin the fun.
Once you have completed the game, the advanced maps and challenge maps are unlocked.
The advanced maps are basically harder veriosns of the last 6 puzzles.
The challenge maps include doing maps using the least footsteps / portals / time. Only when you load one of the challenge maps can you...
Hey dogboy73 - me too! 'No Cake For You' literally sent shivers down my spine the first time I heard it (in-game), and still does when I hear it.
For anyone else who likes Kelly Bailey's ambient/electronic music, you'd probably also like both 'Boards of Canada' [Wikipedia] and 'Aphex Twin'...
Sketches - GLaDOS
Could these drawings be connected with GLaDOS in some way? Perhaps they are a child's interpretation of GLaDOS - i.e., maybe she looks a bit like a jellyfish to a child. Just a thought...
Also, the fact that there is a 'nice little jelly fish' and a 'big bad jellyfish' may...
For those of you still thinking about implementing some sort of calendar on the site, have you thought about using Google Calendar? I have been very impressed with Google's efforts on this one. Although I don't think it will be possible to completely 'integrate' it with vBulletin (with birthdays...
Ah, sorry! Didn't read your post properly.
If using the grav-gun isn't working, I'd recommend starting the game again - it's only a couple of minutes beforehand. Also, I suppose you could validate your game files by right clicking on Episode 1 in your Steam games list, clicking 'Properties'...
After watching the HD version of the trailer, and closely examining it, I can be pretty sure that the logo is NOT the universal symbol for 'infinity'. I can't be 100% sure obviously because there is a tube in the way, and that part of the gun is partially blurry, but it's looks quite similar to...
Ummm, I think you simply need to 'jump' onto that next ledge that you can see. Jump is usually the space bar, incase you were wondering.
I apologise if this seems a little harshly said, but it seems rather obvious to me :|
I'm currently using a Razer Copperhead in combination with a fUnc 1030 Archetype mat, and would highly recommend them both for gaming :smoking: . Although if you want a budget mouse, this probably isn't the one to go for :)
Funny you should say that. I play at lunchtime online with my work buddy (we have 2 pc's). His is a lot newer than mine, yet his one crashes everyday and mine doesn't.
And like $kelet0r said, it's bad enough to have to pull the plug. Honestly, it really is that bad, I'm not some nub who can't...
I have a request that is a tad more than a name-change:
You see, when I joined the name 'Penfold' was already taken. So, I added an underscore to the name because I couldn't think of much else at the time.
Ideally, I'd like this guy's name, because he hasn't posted since September 2003...
Good man. Although I like image sigs when they are used properly, (ie don't take up half the screen vertically), most people make their own sigs about 150 pixels high which is just plain ridiculous.
My sig that I use on another site is 20 pixels high, which is what I think all images sigs...
May I suggest you ask anyone who knows anything about programming/the web which is more secure, including Microsoft. Point made.
Give me one reason why IE is more secure...
Rofl, ActiveX, nuff said.
Like I, and many others have said recently - use Firefox.
I use Firefox along with the extensions I mentioned above and get absolutely zero adverts and zero pop-ups.
