If you don't think HL2DM is buggy, then you sure haven't played it very much.

The NGO's are at http://www.ngohq.com/ if you want to try them. They don't seem too terribly different gaming wise than the Catalysts...

Yes there are lots of good custom maps, but plenty of bad ones (i.e. all the variations of killbox).

You'd think they'd make this easier....like ever other team game in existance... :angel:

Seems like every other day there's a patch or update for Counter-Strike. I bought HL2 for HL2DM not CS... Seems to me like they are abondoning it already. I know not as many people play hldm, but dang how can it ever grow if you don't offer support for it, not to mention more than 2 maps and...

I remember the Edge from Quake 2. It was a nice level, but waaaay overplayed if you ask me. Yes, those were the good ol' days. ;(

That'd happen to me due to zone alarm. just went in the programs list and made sure Hl/steam had checks next to them. may or may not be your prob :cheers:

The just put out a patch that should fix the favorites not staying/showing up...probably the rest of your aforementioned problems as well...

Not to mention that they didnt spawn with any other guns...maybe a small hallway to the side that connects each end so there's a bottleneck of death... :frog:

Those 3 have gone very stale...there are some very good user maps floating around that I prefer to waste my time on. :thumbs:

make sure the RAM speeds are compatible with each other and the motherboard.

Most of the PCI Express cards I've seen have been high-end Radeons...over $200... haven't seen anything under that, but haven't really looked that hard. :frog:

That'd be my guess. Typically you'll see a "Connection Problem" (or similar) in the upper right hand corner...unless you recover fast enough.
