Lol in my case that was quite correct after checking with my ISP and upgrading my fouters firmware that didnt sort it out. Then when i loaded it up again I found that everything was fine when looking at say a plain wall after checking my graphics options they had mysteriously all turned...

its doing the same for me,it only started yesterday before that everything was fine.I am able to play BF2 no probs so I am pretty sure it isn't a connection issue

I think it looks really good.Does seem to be a war of attrition though especially when there are a lot of players on the server.The only downside is as its quite tactical if your killed early on it can be a bit of a wait for the round to end.

Just done a google search on the cl_smooth command,is it right that you have to type it in the console everytime you join a game or can I just edit it in my config

Im not to keen on the new T skins,I have to keep double checking I aint shooting me team mates first.Im sure I will get used to them though. i like the new map though

If you give us the IP address of your server we could try and see if its visible

Just curious how the ranks on servers are calculated as Ive seen a few where the top 10 vary with say the top having a lower KD ratio than the 2nd placed player

Might be an idea to offer your map for download on here and get feedback that way

I shall be playing both I think. The big difference for me though is I will have to buy BF2 whereas CS was an unexpected bonus when I bought HL2

Thanks for that,like I said Im not too worried the card does what it said it would anything else would be a bonus.Its a big step up from my FX5200 and hopefully it will keep me going for a couple of years.

Just been playing de_port and the admin tweaked the gravity settings so it was like playing on the moon.It was great fun and you could get up on the hills behind the T spawn and snipe everyone :laugh:

Was the stress test updated on the last update,I used to get revolving error messages which have now been replaced with the slab things but Ive been playing with my new card so I thought it was that.(my fps gone down about 10)

I took the easy option,set the server filter to de_dust_pcg and joined a server that downloaded the map for me :D

Thanks for that,Have downloaded it and unzipped it and there seems a fair few files.Not sure where to put them.Will have a go tomorrow when Ive got a bit more time
