Alright I’ll be honest, these next two chapters are going to SUCK! That’s no joke like the last disclaimer these are pretty bad. Just trudge through ‘em cause I got some good ideas for what really happened in hl2 according to this interpretation of events.
Chapter 2: It's Freeman!
Breen and...
Ha ha, that pic with all of the mines was pretty cool. I had a similar glitch in half life 2 and it was the first half life game i'd played so i though the glitch was that he wasn't saying anything. I didn't know he was the uber-mysterious g-man yet.
Alright this is a pretty stupid fan fic so leave now. Don't read on! If you do i'm not responsible for anything that happens.
this fan fic is for all those people who think the whole deal with the half life sags is that Gordon's on crack.
Chapter one: Black mesa, it's darkest secret...
Evidence for this, he probably only saw the real G-man once and that was at the start of the first game. Being at the epicenter of the resonance cascade caused his brain to experience a narcotic effect and make up things like aliens and g-man. That's why when we first see the garg and gordon...
yeah but, just out of curiosity, i'd love to see some really exceptional AI implemented in a game such as hl2, even if I do get killed in 2 seconds. If what your saying is the case (and I agree it probably was) I think they should've at least left the originaly developed AI as a extra difficulty...
It is a planet, as explained by Breen during his conversation with Eli in the citadel, although you only over hear a breif few sentences of it as your being transported into Breen's office. He says that xen is a gas giant which lies on the border of two universes and has been strechted thin...
good point. this may explain why the fast zombies are so fast too. Since the fast headcrabs are combine mutations of headcrabs they could be customed tailored to Humans. But that wouldn't make them as fast as they are so the combine would've had to do more genetic engineering than that.
my final conclusion on this whole theory and it's possibilities for hl3 (but mainly the latter) is that when gordon destroys the citadel and flees city 17, a worldwide upheaval will inevitably begin (no shocker their  ). The combine will see this as a weakness in their line of planets...
I don't remember having to wait for a medic to get done treating one of your wounded, i just followed the guy into a room with a bunch of resistance fighters. If the guy your following still doesn't go anywhere just do what everybody else has been suggesting and go back a load zone or two. I...
nihlanth, like riomhare said, is phsycic. you don't have to be able to speak english just to put images and sounds or communicate ideas to another person who speaks english(or at least from what we've seen of the half life depiction of being phsycic). this is evident when the combine advisor...
alright when you walk into the basement and go to the raised concrete with the injured guy on it. If you look to your right when you walk onto that dry patch with the injured resistance fighter on it you should see another part of the flooded basement. Wade through there, killing the zombies as...
the ultiment goal of the resistance was to reach the citadel and take it down. If the resistances uprising would have occured before eli was kiddnapped they would've still made their way to the citadel walls. Plus you and alyx were the only ones who would've known that eli had been taking to the...
The reason the combine were able to take over earth and the reason Gordon and a band of rebels are able to give the combine such hell is that the 7 hours war and the current resistance v. combine are two entirerly different situations. the 7 hours war the combine drop out of then air on to a...
wow..... no plot in the hl series? First, go buy your self a copy of hl1. It's not expensive and it's a pretty good game. Second, THINK! Third, i betcha if you used the search button their are about a thousand other threads started by people who just because they couldn't figure out the story...
It sounds to me like you've done everything right. It took me a couple tries to make that jump I kept shorting the jump and hitting the ledge. I was getting really frustrated. Just make sure your lined up with the ramp and have enough room to get up to speed and you should make it.
I don't know where the first pic is but in the area in the second pic your not supposed to go that way. From the position you were when you took the pic turn to your left and that should be the right way. However that is very odd that you can't jump. I'm no expert when it comes to technical...
Gunships are synths too (i think) and they are not exactly what i would call clumsy and ineffective. Also during the seven hours war the combine were not up against AT crews who knew what striders were and how to take them down. These things literally dropped out of thin air on to a completely...
Whoa, wtf man. In that second pic there should be a wheel that you turn to open the gate on that grey box. But it's not there. Try going back one load zone then replaying. Other than that i have no idea what's going on.
