CS:CZ wasnt held back 5 months waiting for the right time to release it. It was held back cos it got slated by PC Zone in an exclusive review, they gave it something like 50% saying it was CS with new maps. next thing that happened was a misterious delay and the game comes out completely...

It was announced as gold yesterday. that however does not mean it whent gold yesterday. Developers regularly hold back the gold announcement. so their goes that niave theory out the window.

the Hl2 leaked beta i had was about 3gb+ so theres still a preload or two to go IMO.

Valve said sept 30th for months. They never once said any other date up until 6 days till release. and right up until then they where letting people upgrade their machines solely to play HL2 on full settings knowing fine well that the game would never see the light of day in that year...

I would rather see 1 good post with 5-6 people quoting it in agreement than 1 good post followed by 5-6 people saying the same thing but with different wording. Usualy i expand upon quotes becuase i dont always agree 100% with them but if its a good sensible post it deserves to remain that...
