There really isn't any good pop music (used in a loose sense) anymore. Music now of days doesn't cross genre's as it could back then. So its not really that easy to come up with some modern war/anti-war songs.
This thread has given me a strong urge to rent "Apocalypse Now" again.
Hehe, I remember in my 9th grade science class, our teacher made us read an article about a couple of teenagers who broke into an abandoned warehouse and found some mercury. Except, they didn't know what it was, so they thought they should smoke it. :| Needless to say, the article said they...
I wonder if I could get a government subsidy to create my own powerplant to run a computer with two high end graphics cards. I mean, since it appears may be an actual reason to do SLI now.
I'm siding with the skeptics on this one. Typically companies that come out of nowhere bragging...
Current Job: Auditor (20% OMG coolness, 80% OMG iwannastabmyeyesoutboringness)
Realistic (Future) Job: Consultant or Liaison (fancy words for getting paid good money to sit on one's ass)
Unrealistic Dream Job: Winning the lottery and sitting on my ass playing video games and traveling the world
They are doing this because they need to build hype with Windows 7. Which is kind of amusing because they had a huge amount of hype with Vista until they axed nearly every innovative planned feature with it, which killed the hype (and corresponding sales) with Vista.
Heard not so good things about the X4500, I'd stay away right now until they get it straightened out. The X3100 is really slow, not sure about its performance with HL2.
Wow that's a lot of info...
If/when the next time your GPU starts elevating in temperature, try to watch / listen to the fan while it is running to see if the fan is varying in RPM speed or having some other problem. If you don't notice any change in fan speed/noise and you are not running a...
Heh, kind of interesting in looking back to old threads I've started. It really helped that I was in this forum before HL2 was released.
762 Posts (and I don't even remember anything about it)
I personally like this thread the best out of all the threads I've started on this forum.
I think there is actually a real reason why realistic CGI movies are not made more frequently. I can't remember the exact name, but in AI theory, there is a concept that as an AI advances to become more human like, it will be more accepted by society until the point it is almost like a human...
I've used www.monoprice.com to buy my HDMI cables. The quality is very good and the prices are really reasonable. Since they are a bulk provider, just make sure you buy the right cables (i.e. don't buy HDMI cables for in-wall installations if you won't be using them for that.
They also have...
Some things to consider
1) Generally, you can't upgrade your laptop unless you buy a new laptop (the only exception being upgrading your RAM and the harddrive if you are bold)
2) Another GB of RAM could help, but generally, that would help with once you start playing HL2 or loading another...
I think Valve should be able to do whatever the damn hell they want. Valve doesn't owe us anything. It should be their choice if they want to cash out their hard work, God knows if I was running Valve I'd be selling my stake in the company and running off to some exotic island for the rest of...
AFAIK a run of the mill optical drive shouldn't have any specialized drivers, it should be governed by the all powerful Windows Operating System. This means the file that you are having problems with is associated to a piece of crap software. Most likely, you failed to remove the software...
AMD had its chances to beat Intel with Intel's initial P3 release and late series P4's, yet AMD never could put the smack down on Intel. I'm actually worried with the across the spectrum success of Core 2 Duo and soon to be success of Nehalem that AMD is going to be KO'ed. Perhaps the only...
Looks like The Dark Knight finally has an outside chance to dethrone Titanic as the highest gross film in the US. I really hope it does because I do not want Titanic to represent the pinnacle of the movie making industry in the US...
