i modeled it in 3dmax and it was skinned in PS i guess
and yes it does look a little square, but it's a hover/jet type thing

ps. there is no bumpmapping it's a 100% illuminated texture i guess
it depends on what ur modeling, if you model it correctly it doesn't really matter
in 3d max you can also just add them first and remove them so the geometry will still be the same
