The end game was brilliant...just brilliant. But now it leaves me dieing for HL3. The damn world is exploding the tower is falling down...and "Time, Mr. Freeman."
My school is nice enough that they don't use their packet shaper....usually. They turn it on from time to time when their is a network shortage and need to make more room for academic uses. At those time I lose all gaming and people up and down the halls are screaming about thier lost...
I think you people try to read to much into their bandwidth that isn't there....no they aren't releasing half-life 2 and it's perfectly normal for the status to be the way it is, it's not "puzzeling" at all.
I personally doubt it. They will milk this game forever and rightfully so. Expect at least 3 expansion pack, 2-5 Mods to become "Official", and we won't see HL3 for at least 3-4 years.
What lack of safety? All credit card transactions are protected agianst fraud. It's as easy as calling up your credit card company and telling them what's up. Not to mention, CC companies have built in protection, if suddenly a ton of out of your nature transactions occur. You'll get a call...
Wow...That was close to the most annoying post I've ever read....English skills are good. Oh and lay off the caps lock/Shift button you're going to wear it out using it like that. Holy crap man and triple posting....."I am the great all seeing eye....and I see your stay on HL2.net being very...
It takes time an effort. It might be "easy" but that's only relatively. They didn't want to put effort into a dieing genre of multiplayer. Balancing, map making, and such takes time they didn't want to spend
I haven't heard anything to certify they will ever release those games standalone. They don't stand to make a terrible lot from them and it's expensive to publish. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see them until they come packaged with a platinum edition of HL2
Silver all the way. Only $10 more then the bronze and you get some great extras. No way I'm buying gold though. What am I ever going to do with that crap! Beside this game will probably be big enough that I'll be able to buy posters and hat elsewere if I want them
"In terms of network bandwidth, we're currently running at 4 Gbps, and will boost to 7 Gbps when we start pre-loading. We have the option of increasing that to 14 Gbps with a phone call (admittedly a really expensive phone call).
Since Half-Life 2 is ~2 GB (or 16 Gb) over the wire, we can...
