I don't know if it's instinctive or social conditioning. All i'm saying is i'm damn glad it's there. It's probably more based on the fact most humans never consider having sex with an animal and when the question is raised they find it offensive and disgusting, and thus the moral is created. Resulting in a society that abhors bestiality? A theory..sounds ok to me.

I think that sounds like a perfectly valid theory. And it's that very thing that I want to address with this thread. I want you to think past that innitial reaction that causes you to assume it's immoral, and actually think about wether it really is or not

Thats why I have a problem with the gut instinct argument from you and raziaar. It's that very assumption that I want to get past to find out if its valid or not

I defend the right to do it, but I still think it is harmful to the person involved in a non-quantifiable way.

Those are socially acceptable activities for the most part.
Screwing a cow is not.
If people found out you screwed a cow, you could become an outcast of society. That may or may not be important to you.

I have heard of porn, baestiality and fetish addictions on chat shows and stuff; but I've never heard of masturbation leading to any psychosis.

The thing about things like being gay is that we deal with human beings (who do it under their own consent) and that's the reason why we accept such behaviors. When we deal with animals, the average person will think, "Dude, that's disgusting because you're supposed to do that with humans!" The average person who gives this response will also think you are perverted because of your lack of morals/principles (you don't screw an animal because it's not intelligent enough to tell you not to screw it; you are only supposed to do that with people, etc.)

The other thing about us killing animals and eating them wouldn't apply to this case because we kill animals for food and food is for our own survival. Hot Sechs with an animal isn't necessary for us to keep on existing.

I don't eat animals for survival. I eat them cuz I like how they taste.
But what about owning pets? That isn't for survival.
And the whole thing about eating them or owning them was merely relating to how much consent we give them.

To be honest, most of the posts in the thread were confusing as Hell. My brain could not comprehend it. Hell, everything confuses me when I don't sleep in nearly 2 days.

So, most law and most people believe it is wrong, figuring through means of logic, meaning the moral majority believes it is immoral.

Most people only believe it is wrong because that's their innitial reaction. The whole point of this thread was to figure out wether or not that reaction is justified or not.
Not to mention I'm not talking about bestiality as a whole, but merely a specific example that removes the common ethical problems associated with the act
