Now I have heard some very serious rumors about a hunter stalker attacking other hunters in the field and it seems more and more likely that I may cross paths with this fiend sometime very soon. If any of you have already--don't spoil it for me!!!

oh the rumors are true. it will honestly take you forever to find the hunter stalker, i found him by complete dumb luck. but when and if you do find the hunter stalker, your eyes are going to pop out of their sockets when you see who it/they/him is/are.

I'd try to get up to 40 or so for the battle ahead.

You can buy more stones from the clan shop in the bazaar in Rabanastre.

You can buy the embroidered tippet (double xp) from an old guy at the very beginning of Old Archades right when you come up from the well or whatever.

Dunno. It may just be luck or after a certain number of hunts or something. I guess we'll see because I don't want the surprise spoiled!

I just killed the Mind Flayer and it may have been the easiest battle yet. Took around 10 seconds. Oh well. I have leveled a bunch so I guess that helped. I am trying to find Orthros (sp?) in the Waterway and need to get the Sewer Access Key or something. Didn't have enough time last night. I'll try again tonight and then go after some others.

the stalker is very possible. if you want me to be completely honest, your not going to find the stalker on ur own by looking. it is almost as hard to find the stalker as it is to get the danjuro sword. im gonna give you a hint below, read it if you wish.

in the ogir yensa sandsea theres a small ring in the middle of your map. its one of those circular platforms you walk around, however on ur map it shows that you can only reach it from one entrance, and that entrance is unknown. without telling you where, you must enter the zertinan caverns from the ogir yensa sandsea, completely unconnected from the rest of the zertinan caverns. when u come out of the tunnel on the other side ull be in that area, ur stalker is up ahead.

Wow. That was some battle. The weapon the main enemy uses is something I wish I could get my hands on!!! Very very cool.

Thanks again for the hints and directions and such. Now back to leveling...

You guys have a good place to level if you are around lvl 60 or so???

EDIT: I have heard that Site 11 in the Lhusu Mines is great for high-level leveling so I will try that later. Also just beat Bloodwing and Zalera.

Whoa! Here I am thinking I am doing pretty well at 70 hours! That certainly bodes well for the rest of the game and its gameplay value! I am nowhere near bored with it because there is just so much content!

Surprised when I met him on my way from catching up on Hunting Marks in the Sandsea and going to that Elder Jahara place... in the Zertinan Caverns ... would have been a bitch to kill with all the shambling zombies around but I found out a way to kill them, then kill Addrammelech. If you want to know just ask

cause i saw quite a few listed on the official web site but ive only acquired 3 and im pretty far along the main plotline

Found him too. the shambling fellows were easy but i never hung around long enough to kill him. Guess I will have to do it (considering I am like 20 levels above that now!).

Those caves were great for leveling up for a while there...

I would have got pwned by those shambling zombies if I had to fight them and Adrammelech. But after equipping Mirror Mail to my characters it was pretty much Zero effort. Which hunts have you guys found the hardest so far?

the hardest for me was fafnir. the longest was yiazmat...the final hunt. not hard, just long, and annoying. 10 hours easily goes into beating him.


btw everyone, telekinesis is your best friend, if you dont know where to get it let me know ill tell ya. it dramatically reduces the effort of fighting air enemies, unless u guys arent using swords/greatswords/spears/etc.

Yes! I have been waiting for it to appear in shops but I have heard its not til the end of game...annoying if you ask me. So where/when did you get it first?? (In spoiler tags of course)...:E

after u do Giruvegan, go to the nechrohol of nabudis. enter from the salika wood. when you get inside, in that first map area, go all the way to the "top" of that first section, make a right into that circular room that appears to be of no use, however ull see a path u can take into another room that isnt on the map, go in there, get the "treasure" which is just one of those mimic enemies, then look in one of the corners of the room, ??? will appear over the party leaders head, examine it and a shop keeper will appear, thats where u can get some of the best armor/magic/techniks in the whole game.

Yeah, I read about that guy somewhere on the net--great FF epic type monster battle (that luckily you can leave and return to whenever you like). 50,000,000 hp or some crazy stuff like that!!!

ShinRa--thanks for the shop info--I had heard rumors of a hidden shop somewhere in that area. That's gonna be schweet!!! Telekinesis here I come!!

No i think you have to start it like any other technick.

In other news, i just beat Gilgamesh the 1st time and got 2 of the 4 Genji bits from him. Now to find a sword to go with them...

ummm actually you just set up a gambit slot (preferably slot 1 or 2) with Foe:flying Action: Telekinesis

Geez--duh! It was late when I responded and haven't gotten really good at using gambits to my advantage anyway .

That said, I am having a dilema. I just started a new job and I am out of the house for usually 11-12 hours a day. I don't have the time to grind like I used to and my characters are all around lvl. 55-60 (except Vaan who was 67). I looked at a guide last night online that outlined how to go about auto-leveling and so I set it up last night and went to bed. I got up this morning and Vaan was 75 and the rest were 65 (I think). I know its such a cheap way of doing things, but I have played it for so long and to get those last levels is going to take a huge amount of time on top of that. I hate doing it, but I have so little time to play anymore that it really seems like the best thing for right now. Do you guys think its lousy or somewhat understanable in this case?

I know! But because Rogue Galaxy is coming out very early next year and that will be another one that takes up 100+ hours for me I just don't have the damn time for all of this! Its hard to get all of this playtime in when you are trying to act like an adult...

Reddas just joined my party and we've made our way to Ridorana Cataract
it's kinda close to the end of the game it would seem, so i might take some time to do more hunts and espers

btw, where the hell can i get my hands on some good two-handed swords?? like the one Vossler used back on the Leviathan
right now ive got Vaan using a 1H Golden Axe that does 110 (bought from the down on luck merchant in the Estersand village)
but id really like to equip someone like Basch with a huge 2H sword

the only problem with that 110 powered axe is its damage varies. you dont always do the 110 power with axes. sometimes u can do 5000 sometimes u can do 50....its all random.

ya i just read that on gamefaqs
swords are more consistent than axes and hammers, especially 2H
and katanas and ninja swords have a better chance of doing combo attacks, along with poles.......thats awesome
man this game just gets better and better

which weapons do you recommend Shinra? i mean what's your preference

zeus - one of the best games ever made. to me, it comes right after ff7 and 8.

and as for my weapons choice, i never use anything but swords and guns. vaan and basch handle the two handed excalibur and ragnarok, while balthier has the strongest gun available right now (dont know what its called). guns are great as protect and armor really mean nothing to the guns, plus he sticks back so he can heal/revive when need be. armor, everyones wearing maximillian armor, circlets for head gear, and embroided tippets for accessories (until i reach 99, then switching to the cat-ear hood, which increases ur speed and combo hits dramatically.) noone can hold a shield unfortunately, so i do take quite a few hits.

I just got Larsa for the 2nd time from Jahira and I'm around lvl 27-28. How's it so far? Am I underleveled?

And I'm desperate for some gill.
