First GTA IV review

I thought as lazlow was from the gta III universe that he wouldn't be in this o_O

Dude... Lazlow ROCKS. I'm glad he's back on a talk show, not some lame music station like he was in Vice City.

Anyway, that was confirmed ages ago. Apparently he's stepped up his contribution even more for this one. I think I may have also read he's contributing alot of writing or atleast song choices to many of the other stations.
 
Wait, GTA3 and GTA4 are different universes!? That sucks.:(

I didn't think GTA4 was in a different universe, Rockstar just said that almost no old characters will be coming back to the game and Liberty City will have almost nothing in common with the Liberty City in GTA3. There are still some of the old brands in the game (Gruppe Sechs) so its basically as close as they can get to a new universe without making a new universe
 
I love that bit... does he remind anybody else of Adam Sandler, especially when he hurts his hand?
 
^ I'm pretty sure he was in ordinary VC too, I always listened to one of the two talkshow radios in VC.
 
Maurice Chavez in Vice City(not stories) "You think you can **** with me, with maurice chavez, what you thinking asshole!?" after breaking a guys nose, funny as hell.
 
I pretty much liked all the DJs, though Maurice, Lazlow and Fernando were the best.
 
Lazlow is awesome, his podcasts/satellite radio show is even better

My buddy told me GTA4 comes out in 13 days and I nearly shat myself and remembered I had it pre-ordered. I can't ****ing wait.

The original GTA actually had three cities, which were more like levels since they weren't directly connected (you selected one from the menu). They were Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas. Sound familiar? :p

The city in GTA 3 was also called Liberty City and just divided into sections, like IV will be. However, as far as I can tell, the three incarnations share no similarity but their name. The Liberty City in GTA 3 took some influence from New York, as well as many other iconic American cities, but it wasn't a recreation so much as a homage. GTA IV's version will be a true-to-life New York city, but with some creative liberties taken.
 
Bad^Hat, I guess an important canonical difference is that San Andreas was a city in 1, and a state in 3.
