BTW, during that round on Karkand I got promoted too. :D
 
You ever shot a helicopter with an RPG and they guy died and fell out but the helicopter was undamaged and it just fell to the ground?? I did that in one game...oh and I also shot down a helicopter with a handgun and an F-22 with a sniper rifle ;)

Oh man, I had a very good BF2 day. I played with Rando and Direwolf for a looong time. I got probably 300 points, I finally got my Veteran Assault badge (only support and engineer left!) and I had a blast.
 
Very good. Me and this other guy got into a blackhawk, I started to own a huge group of guys trying to capture a flag. I also played with some HL2 members, very fun.
Then again, I got shot down by a friendly tank 'bout 5 times because I took a guy's jet... Idiot.
EDIT: I think I also made 2 ranks today. They must of decreased the time it takes to get ranks.
 
Just got 140 points for sitting on my ass on the winning team (aka commanding) on Oman. One guy on the other team was convinced I somehow kept his location dialed in for arty strike because I got him like 3 times in a row ... twice on the move.

Staff officer ribbon = never have to do it again!

I got that like the 2nd day I owned the game D:

It's amazing how many people don't have that yet because they actually don't command. I find commanding fun.

Yeah, you Nightshade, Direwolf and Rando were on my server for a bit last night, nice too see you all :thumbs:

Didn't get any awards or anything myself, just had some good scoring rounds on Songhua :frog:

My problem was rounds didn't last long enough. Too many people all killing each other like they should and eating up tickets. Then I found a 20/64 player server and it was just a matter of time.
 
Man, I had a good day. Played with Hazar, Fliko, and 15357. Had a ridiculous round as a sniper on Sharqi, too... M24 = the win.
 
Bah just got off a bad round in an otherwise good day. Makes me feel all sh**ty now :|

Joined near the end at that round.... got 7 kills with the sniper... :D


And while our battlefield life expectancy was 2 minutes, yours was something like 5. :O
 
Argh! I have a corrupt system file and have to reinstall Windows. Unfortunately I can't find the Windows install disc so it may be a while before I get to game with you all.
 
Oh noes! Playing alongside you is good fun... reinstall quick!

And numbers: I usually have an awful K/D slash life expectancy, but that game I was focusing on not dying, and sniping. It worked :D

I got basic knife and vet knife on Karkand today. I'm actually really surprised how easy it was, flashbangs + knife = win. At one point, about five minutes into the round, four people on the USMC were trying to cap the Hotel flag, I didn't know they were there so I just ran up without using a flashbang, saw them, and just dolphin dived into the guy closest to me. They must have been really surprised because I managed to knife two of them before they reacted. What resulted was a heated bunny hopping knife fight, the likes of which have never been seen before in Battlefield. After the dust had settled, I emerged with a shiney new Vet knife badge.

AiM: Long story. bvasgm made a post in some thread, saying that having a massive avatar swap was a bad idea. I posted right after him, agreeing (with a few giggles) only I'd stolen his avatar. From there, we got pretty much identical sigs and everything. I'm afraid it might be time to let that die, though.

Oh, and I had quite a good day. Played with a toooon of HL2.net guys.
 
Damn lag for me though :/ 205 ping.
 
I'm so screwed on catching up to people. Final Fantasy 4 Advanced keeps on taking all my time! AHH!
 
RPG's tend to do that, TES3 Morrowind was my vice.

btw the new patch will also fix the spinning tank turret trick that was used to let people walk through the map.

Any of you guys getting this annoying CTD (Crash to desktop) when playing? It has happened 3 times to me since I started playing last week.
 
Just to let you all know, the recent lag problems our server has been experiancing seem to have been resolved, was playable last night :E
