Old games you'd love to play in SOURCE

Speaking of DICE.....maybe Codename Eagle could use the source engine. that game's multiplayer was sooo much fun. First game to support tanks, trucks, choppers and planes in singleplayer too.

Don't bash Dice. They were busy developing Battlefield 2. Swedes did not make that game, canadians did.

Yeah I know that, Digital Fusion is part of Dice. And I'm blaming Dice because they used the same engine and netcode from the original Battlefield.

I just got a bit defensive there for a while. I defend everything that is Swedish... Why you ask yourself? I have no frickin' clue.

GTA series
Duke Nukem 3D and 4ever
XS
Freelancer
Tomb Raider
Little Big Adventure

I want to see Monkey Island:SOURCE.Imagine insult sword fighting with the facial expressions of source,Watching Guybrush get lauched outta that cannon.
Dungeon Keeper:SOURCE would be sweet too as long as it had an RTS interface.
Serious Sam:SOURCE.Now that'd be impressive.

Also Tetris in source wouldnt be too difficult you'd just have to have a really long range Manipulater to move and turn the blocks. Then you could jump onto them to start manourveing them better.(A 3D tetris game, now that'd be hectic.A possible Multiplayer game?)

You know, I actually found an FPS game that none of you have mentioned at all. Weird huh?

Wheel of Time.

I guess no one played it, but it was pretty fun, having spells instead of weapons (can do a heap more things with spell effects than you can with just 'guns').

Also like to see System Shock 2 again;

l-l-l-l-look at you hacker
a pathetic creature of meat and bone
panting and sweating as you run through my corridoors
how can you challenge a perfect immortal machine?

If somebody made a combination Soul Calibur / Mortal Kombat 1-Ultimate, or just one huge fighting game with all the characters from every good fighting ever known. (200+ lol) Balance the damage of hand ot hand vs weapons, make some destructible enivorments and people, and you have one kick ass mod

Tribes2. Yes, definately tribes2.

DOA beach volley ball. *drool at the thought of ultra-realistic breast physics*

River City Ransom. Just because I want to beat people with tires as realisticly as possible.

System Shock 2 is much better suited for D3 IMO

Yeah, System Shock 2 on the the D3 engine would be insane.

As for Source, I'd like to see a better Matrix game as well (1st/3rd person mix sorta like Riddick) and a new Solder of Fortune game. SOF2 is still my favorate MP game (with respect to "feel" and gameplay.)

CounterStrike (and CS2) should be amazing in Source.

POKEMON!!11

Ok, jokes aside. Tribes 2 (might say tribes but never played it). Also all the mortal kombat, street fighter, marvel comics, and other similar games. :D

Also I don't think there is anything special about the D3 engine. I believe everything possible on the D3 engine is possible on the HL2 engine and more. Just because D3 is a scary game somewhat like SS2, doesn't mean it can handle that type of game better.

The game I'd like to see.... and plan on making my own little homage to when I get the time, Bushido Blade. I had so much fun with that game. Damn. Well, hopefully I'll get around to actually making an HL2 version of something like it.

the d day landings won't be the most impressive things (they will be made though) it'll be the really well thought out maps that totally go insane with the physics, stuff like destruction derby could be cool.

dod, with tanks and shit, would be :afro:

A really old game I would love to see ported to source is Spy vs Spy.
The physics engine would be great for building and setting traps.

haha I remember spy vs spy on the sega master system. great game.

What I would LOVE to see on the Source is a remake of Heretic/Hexen. Anyone remember those games? The spells you could cast from your staff weapons were awesome and the singleplayer was fun, there were some really bad-ass enemies you fight like the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. That would OWN on Source.

^^ Like turning your opponent into a pig? classic :E

As for a Matrix game, that would be a great idea, take the premise of The Specialists Mod and add better animations graphics and voilà!
