If you believe there should be harmony and peace in the world, what I said dictates proper morality.

And happiness, I left that out.

Not only is it okay, but it's necessary to have a good relationship.

No, that was true and in jest. It was relevant to conversation and will hopefully enlighten that person to change for the better, if only they can realize their logical flaw.
you telling someone that they have flawed logic tells me that your logic is flawed. How many people in history did great things with their "flawed logic"? well, lets name a few: carpinicus, Jesus, Luther, Martin Luther King Junior, and pretty much anyone who stood up to the majority. Next time you tell someone that their logic is flawed, remember that one day you may be bringing that person dinner in a shrine built to them.

I always worry when I hear something like that. Unless you honestly know best, I think it's better to contribute your opinion, but not dictate fact.

This is too much fun but I have college tommorrow so I must be getting sleep.
One last question:
Common sense. That law also implies it, in most cases.
Eliminate the law for a minute, it's irrelevant. Common sense, how did you develop it?
Note: You aren't born with it.

Their logic was not flawed, it was just as perceived as so by the majority. Popularity does not dictate Truth.

It IS fact.

If you do something that violates nobody's rights, it is morally correct. Otherwise it is not.

I have no beef with that. I just don't know that you can determine what those rights are.

Who here thinks it's okay to have sex before marriage? Please explain your reasons.
I think it's wrong, but I'm probably going to end end up doing it anyway. :E

I love it when people emphasize my point. ;)

Christ, good luck finding a woman who'll marry you if you don't even commit the greatest show of love and affection you can give her.

Crack whores dont need that much affection, find one of those and your set.

This has to do with premarital sex, how?

Who/what dictates that morality?
umm... either culture, teh 1337 B!b13 and/or Jesus (who is f*ckin metal btw), your conscience, or a combination of the three.

Do I get a cookie? :E

I'm not sure if you're supporting or arguing against my point.

I'm saying you can't have a succesful marriage without it.

Alright, clarification, by the greatest show of love and affection I meant sex.

You can only love the person you marry?

Nat Turner said:

I see your point, don't think I'm clearely expressing myself.

Correction :

By the greatest show of love and affection to your partner I meant sex.

Naturally, you will have other ways of showing love towards your family and friends.

What the hell, I managed to get into the minority again! Is there some kind of conspiracy here where I always have to be at odds with most of you?

Raeven0, you believe you shouldn't have sex before marriage?

I seriously don't understand that, it's just way too Christian for me to grasp.

Probably.......what were you opinions again? I'm to lazy to read back.

He just said he was part of the minority, and if you could read graphs, you'd know the minority voted that it isn't okay.

I'm sorry, but your entire series of posts just got more confusing and I think a simple "Yes" or "No" would have added clarification. :\

What? I've said at least three times that I think sex before marriage is necessary. Four times now.

Agreed. I can't tell if he's advocating it or not. I'm 63.1% sure he is, though.

Ah yes, didnt bother to read that, the graphs I mean.

its actually pretty logical. see, the woman someone marries is going to be very special to that man. moreso than any past girlfriend. now what can you give that special women that is of worth if you have given the greatest thing of all in a relationship already? this is why abstaining from sex till marriage is practiced(besides people who just obey it because its in the bible). it shows that you know whoever it is, shes going to mean more to you than anyone has before, so she deserves something that you give no other woman.

I think it's perfectly acceptable, especially when you consider that unless it's your relationship, it's none of your business.

Your logic is flawed. Your past history doesn't have to dictate what you think of a person in the present if that history does not involve them. Of course, it can if you let it, but it doesn't have to.

Virginity is all in the mind.

Why can't you have sex with your fiance then?

Nat Turner's post right before mine is a really good answer too, much better than mine. Sex is going to be more meaningful with your wife wether you've had sex before or not.

You can't just ruin his core philosophy like that! It's not fair!

You know what? I like you. I hope you stick around  .

uh huh. yea pretty much all morals are in the mind. you aren't a child molester, if you aren't one in your mind. right...

anyway, its the fact that one made the sacrifice that makes it so meaningful. its just a very special gift. like giving her a new diamond bracelet, except that its truly unique and one of a kind.

It's largely my Christianity speaking up, but just 'cause I don't think it's right doesn't mean I condemn it, or abstain from it... That's why I don't have a link to The Word of the Creator in my forum signatures.

Let's see... For "Do you believe in a god," I put Yes. For "Is alcohol good for you," I put depends on the person and circumstances. For "Coke or Pepsi," I put Pepsi. For "Were you preyed upon as a child," I put Yes.

But we can find a couple of threads in which I was with the majority... "Is pixel pr0n okay?" Yes. "Should Bush resign?" Yes.
