Definately funny. But I think Spit is on the level.
Spit isn't just a stray fan, but a consistant part of the hl.net community. By giving a tour to a long term fan who had the stones to actually go to their offices, Valve gains respect and enthusiam and buzz for their company and upcoming product. It's a valid form of marketing and consumer relations.

heh, if you can, you definitely want a digital camera (heh, uploadable heh) because getting the pics developed and scanning them would be a pain.

i guess you could take a film camera too, but dont forget digital hehe

this could be looked at two ways. 1) the game is done and they're in high spirits which is why they have time and willingness to entertain one fan or 2) this is just a way to seem really cool and get on the fan's good side before telling us there's a two month delay. hope its 1

He might not have a digital camera, folks.... Believe it or not, some people still don't have them. He can get traditional photos developed same day onto disk though.

How about this: if you don't have a digital camera, get one. Just buy it. The easiest one to use.

You'll use it later in life, trust me.

It WOULD be quite interesting if this is how VALVe decided to announce to the world it's Gold/done.

Because they are so extremely good about dealing with fans and the HL community, it really wouldn't be shocking if they did it this way. And it would also be a slap to the people/stores saying it was delayed while also giving a pat on the back as well as a "thank you" to the fans and a who believed in them the whole time.
