Hey, thanks for the help but I seemed to get everything working. It was an error with the new catalyst drivers where you can't turn hardware acceleration up in XP for some reason. I guess ATI claims they are going to patch it, but right now I'm just waiting for my X800 XT to arrive. It should...
Well, once again, I am having computer problems. I just formatted my disk, installed my mobo drivers, processor drivers, ethernet drivers, xp update, then catalyst 4.7; in that order. After installing the cat, everything crashed HARD. It would boot up and say "New Hardware Detected" and such...
well, i just installed the xp updates, and tried to do the catalysts... I am SURE i have the right version (4.7 for a 9600 XT) and now everything is crashing... I dont think that after the format windows recognized the vid card... Wow, I hate my life and this computer. I can't explain my...
Alright, I have a question. I just built my new comp (Athalon 3800+, ABIT AV8 mobo, gig of Corsair, 9600 XT, etc). I finally got everything up and running, and my friend chose for Windows to automatically update then he went to the Microsoft website and manually did it. I got some mad...
You should definitely make a new thread with info on your visit when you get back. Do you know exactly when you are going to post the info you get?
One thing I would ask is pleeeeease get some better pics than Dilldo... I mean Willdo (sorry) did. Instead of getting like 30 pics of Gabe...
Yeah, it sucks that there wont be a DVD version... But the game is going to be the same quality and all, you just have to switch a few more disks in during install. It's not THAT big of a deal, even though I do agree it's time to switch over to DVD.
Do you still have the problem? How did you fix it? It's like the computer is still running perfectly and the monitor just randomly stops getting a signal... I'm starting to maybe think it's my monitor since it's an older dell... But then again it could be my XP drivers still conflicting...
Alright, once again, I'm posting because I have a weird problem I can't seem to answer. I just built this new comp (Thermaltake case, ABIT mobo, Corsair ram, amd athalon 3800+, etc) and it seems like everything that could have gone wrong did. Building this computer has been one of the most...
Nah, it was actually a conflict with the drive settings... But I got it all fixed. Comp is now up and running GREAT. Thanks for all the help though.
Btw, I have two sticks of Corsair 512 PC3200 running in dual channel in slots 1 and 3.
go with a 3500+ socket 939. they are the new sockets from amd. then you could go with an abit k8t800 pro for like $130. It would be a dirty setup. the processor would be like ~$500, and that might be out of your range... But the socket 939 has hyper transport and everything... I think it...
Alright, so I just put together my new computer... And checked everything... And for some reason, when trying to boot it says:
"Verifying DMI Pool Data..."
And it just stops there. What do I need to do? I already tried resetting the BIOS jumper on the motherboard and everything, and...
I couldn't see FarCry beating Doom 3 out in any aspect. The only reason it's up so high is probably because it was one of the first 'next-gen' looking fps'.
Well, my friend had the Alpha... and that was sick. Even the Alpha which was ridiculously incomplete was scary. I really doubt that Gamespot would embellish their review all that much... I mean honestly years in development... It would be hard to really botch a game after several years of...
Yeah, I think so too. Can't go wrong with all the features that I need for less... Now all I have to worry about is building the beast, since I have never built before. When it's done though... Ohh man. AMD 3800+, X800 XT, a gig of Corsair PC3200. This is what I get for working full time...
