Well it is actually a bit different since when you physically steal something from the shop, the shop loses the money they spent on the game to buy it from the publisher. If you download it from somewhere, there is no physical loss. This is of course assuming that you would not buy the game...

Yeah but that's most likely scripted. Calculating the turbulence created by some flat object moving through the air is too complicated in comparison to the visual results to be justified. If you do things like that with any accuracy in real time you would need super computers. :p

There is in fact some CGI in the commercial when that pipe rolls across the floor. The studio was not big enough, so they had to shoot two scenes and then merge them together with the aid of CGI. But anyhow, there are a few things in there which I seriously doubt Source could model, like wind...

There are a few chosen ones who have received the SDK, but if HL2 doesn't go gold this week I can't see how they could possibly keep a Sept 30th release date.

We all hope for the best health of Gabe, and I think he is pretty aware of his overweight already. And even if he wasn't, publically comparing him as a pig on a forum isn't a wise way to do it. Thread closed as hell.

Well, in a few years when Valve has a few titles on Steam, it would be worth it to pay $10 and then being able to play CS2, TF2, HL2 and everything. If you are just a casual gamer who wants to try the games out, it would be a pretty good deal.
