God Damnit, even though I hadn't seen many movies with him in, I really liked A Knights Tale and was actually thinking of it the other day, before hearing this.

That's a real shame. R.I.P. :(

Sometimes when people do drugs, if they take too much, they get really hot. Bet thats probably the reason why he had no clothes on, or he sleeps in the nude...:rolling:
 
Someone else rich dying from a drug overdose!? NO WAY!.

On a lighter note, that sucks. Why do people gotta keep killing themselves like this, especially talented actors...*I can't, for the life of me, think of a movie I liked him in, though...*
 
it is upsetting when people get into stupid stuff like this while they have the responsibility of a child
 
It might've been an accident.

I remember reading an interview where he was really fidgety and what not. He explained how he was barely getting sleep and was using alot of sleeping pills but even then he'd only get like 2 hours of sleep out of them.

It was an accident, I have no doubt it was. "Dumb" doesn't have jack shit to do with it.

I really wanted to post more explaining how that question and your logic fails to make any sense on any level, but I'm just so astounded that someone could think that way that I'm lost for words. Congratulations. If you really feel that way, that sense of not caring, why did you bother to post? You obviously have no emotional ties to the actor... piss off.

The housekeeper and masseuse reportedly found Ledger naked and unconscious on a bed, with prescription and non-prescription pills on a night table next to him.

Bottles of the anti-anxiety drugs Diazempam and Alprazolam were reportedly found at the apartment.

Paramedics who attended the scene found the actor in full cardiac arrest, and unsuccessfully attempted to perform CPR. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Is anyone else eerily reminded of Brandon Lee? Different circumstances, but it is somewhat reminiscent, no?

Also, Asuka, even if it wasn't an accident, how you can equate suicide to stupidity is beyond me. And if it was an accident, you are entitled to your opinion, but damned if it isn't an irrational and stupid one.

He did finish his role apparently. So I'm to believe that the charming Heath Ledger from 10 things I hate about you, the patriot and a knights tale is gone? Just... gone? How terrible. My girlfriend is going to be devastated.

Yea I was thinkin about him and his dad, both died under such unusual circumstances. Who knows maybe heath died kinda like bruce and just had a strange reaction to the pills he was taking.
Anyways I dont consider his suicide stupid to me, but I doubt it was an accident. Assuming he had atleast been abusing the pills (otherwise why take more?), I know from knowing druggies that you gotta take an awful lot of sleeping/anxiety pills to kill yourself with them. Ive seen people taking biblical amounts of pills before and make it out ok, but then again his tolerance was maybe too low. So sad.:sleep:
