Hey guys: Where the heck do you put MP3s in order to listen to them ingame. It says "User Audio" folder or whatever, but there is no such folder, and I've tried creating it in a bunch of places, still dosent work. Also, I do hit the "check for new media" button or w/e it's called in game.

The User Audio folder is in My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files\

"Get rid of old trash, now! True Grime"

"Max Pane - Bulletproof Glass"

:D

????

CrazyHarij has gone cra- nevermind.

What do you guys think? Buy the PC version and risk unplayability, screwups with my graphics cards, sound problems, but get mp3 and patches, or buy for XBox and miss out on patches and mp3s but be able to port it around and have it work outta the box?

Well the XBOX version is not without quirks.. for insance in the Gamespot review they mention the fact that it's jaggy city and theres absolutley sod all AA in the game.

I personally would go for the PC version because it's cheaper, there will no doubt be a patch due soon, and it just looks better.

There's a poster that goes something like:
"The cops who found the bad guy, then found each other"

Both male cops of course :bounce:

the game works fine, havent run in to any bugs yet

I'm just at the beginning of the game so it may be that, but I enjoyed VC more then SA, atleast untill now. Now I'm probably the only one who minds this but. In VC tommy vercetti he was really cool, every conversation had a purpose, the characters were good. In SA I played it for a couple hours, and dammit every conversation go's something like this. You nogga, **** nigga, busta, busta, busta, nigga, fakaboulekaka. I mean doing a mission and having to look forward to another movie filled withthat isn't really pleasant to me. The conversations seem very shallow, not really funny and like repeats of one another. I mena look at LOC or LOG OC, or soemthing like that, now in VC tommy vercetti would have allredy wacked this guy, but here you have to actually help him, and listin to him all the way through, it just gives me the chills.
Now tell is anyone else botherd by this and does it stay like this or do the characters actually get a life.

Somehow I doubt Vercetti would've whacked one of his friends just because he was a bad rapper.

I hate gang/hip-hop culture, but I like this story 100x more than VC's.

I think the black dude and the "gangsta" talk is awsome and fits in perfectly.

at first I admit it bothered me a bit, but then I got into the spirit of things and found myself mumbling "bitch" when I beat a crack dealer to a pulp ...actually enjoyed stomping on him

Hehe, gotta love it so far.

...yet being a hood-gangster ain't that cool.

It just goes with the area, it all changes when you move city. And I doubt Tommy would have killed Loc :p

I prefer Vice city's story anyway

I find myself yelling: DAMN BIATCH and stuff like that when I play this game.
Or suck on this coppa.
Hehe I love this game (even though I had it on ps2)

Heh, I find Loc to be hilarious because of his "gangsta" personality. While everyone else is gritty and serious all the time, Loc provides some refreshingly silly dialogue.

He's the one that worked at the fast food place. He has you steal a van with a sound system from the beach. You go to the party where he tries to rap... horribly.

ya I've only played for a few hours so I'm not all that far along

heh that fat guy in your crew is pretty funny

the soundtrack is superb so far ...I dont even like rap but I found myself listening to some of the music ...my fave so far is the alternative station ..Rage against the machine and the stone roses ...awesome. I even like the country channel ...the only thing I miss from the VC radio is that crazy religious guy ..man he was funny

Yeah but the conversations are all boring and platonic like hell, you allready know whats going to be said, In VC you were the smart guy, and you would kill guys like this. and that would give satisfaction. Now I'not saying VC is a better game, cause this is something that is very personall offcourese. But to me the conversations are just annoying and stupid, and I really don't look forward to them. It's just over the top and not in a funny way, just irritating.
And loc is that stupid guy who you pick up out of prison and you have to go with him chase a guy on a bike, while in VC you would dismember someone who acted like that, just because of the principle.
Anyway, I do think this is a better game, it's bigger, there are more things to do, it's just that I prefer VC, cause of the reasons I just said. In VC everyone else around you was crazy, and you were like WTF, and you would get business in order, and than chainsaw them and take over the city. Here you actually help them. I mean it's the principle man. But then again I'm not that far.

Do they have that conservative mom, like in VC, I liked her the most.

ya she was just as crazy but that religious nutter was also bigoted

I felt that in Vice City, after the first couple of missions you felt like you had already "made it". It felt like you were already of someone of great importance and like you could do no wrong. San Andreas on the other hand, you get the feeling like everything could blow up in your face at any moment. You truely get the feeling that you're working your way up from the gutter.

the only thing that ruins the immersion of the game is the difficulty of the missions ...while nowhere near as frustrating as VC they're still tough enough that I'm often forced to re-do them ...Boiling Point has it right ..you can fail a mission but only if you die, or kill the person you're supposed to be protecting

They will get a whole lot tougher. :)

doh ..I'm stuck at the quest where you go to a burger joint and meet up with some guys you have kill before they get to your neigbourhood and start wasting your "homies" ...cant seem to stop them before they make it there ..the car I'm driving handles like a shopping cart

If they beat you there, don't you just have to waste them?

Try ramming the gang car, or drive by it yourself instead of letting those in it do it.

no I have to drive the car they give me ..and as soon as they get close to my hood it goes straight into a cut scene ..so that doesnt work

Which one was Boiling Point? I just did a casino chip mission and it took about 6 tries. Insanely annoying, especially one guy that has a shotgun that can kill you in about 3 seconds. The enemies are like bots with their totally accurate shooting. Even when you roll around a corner to shoot them, they hit you first.

EDIT: Ohhh the game, not the name of a mission :p

hehe no sorry ...Boiling Point is another game entirely ..it's kinda like GTA but it's more of a fps

I know you have to keep that car (greenwood, sweets car?) I meant bring a weapon and drive by them, shoot them yourself whilst in the car. Might work better.

can you shoot when you're driving? I thought only your buddies could ...I'll try it tonight

BTW, some message told me I can controll a 4-members-gang now - how do I do that?

Stern: Same as always, press Q or E to look out of either window and shoot. Provided you have a sub machine gun.

Recoil: Target the gang member, as if you were going to shoot them but instead press G. They'll then joing your gang, helping out in drivebys and stuff.

thanks :) I'll try that tonight ...I guess I have to find a sub machine gun

rooftops? how do you get on the rooftops?

When you approach a wall and press the jump button, your character will automatically climb up the ledges (providing they're low enough for him to reach). Or you could jump from the bridge... *splat* :p
