AFAIK, valve is not releasing anything other than the long(long long long)-awaited Team Fortress 2, and is not producing a source version of TFC.
TF2 and TF:S would mean essentially the same thing since TF2 will be on source. It will likely be a stand-alone product though.
Um... left is select, right is context menu... ???
oh. maybe because space allows these mouse controls while not in camera mode? In select or brush mode or whatever...
They don't seem to much more complex than hl2dm maps, really. Besides, many of these maps are based off the originals, and didn't/probably-won't have many large open continuous spaces.
Obviously the weps shown are view models... in game wont be that level of detail.
I know, I was about to say "omg!wtf?bbq... those all look like mechaG's work!!11" lol
cool stuff guys. lookin forward to seeing this boy finsihed.
Well when I looked to check, I found that I had it in two places. The one you mentioned, and also at:
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-448539723-1450960922-839522115-1003\Software\Valve\Hammer\
same but for the unique id number stuck in there.
I somehow missed the first result.
xp-sp2 also, btw
Just to clear things up for those who didn't read his original post: He wants to create a new texture and have that texture available as a skybox texture for his map.
I wish I knew, mate. Do some searches you'll probably find something. I'd edit all your images first. Each skybox set is a...
m4 or ssg is my premium. That's always what I want. although sometimes an ak works better for me.
Otherwise, I buy whatever I can afford, after armour. I cant stand not having a gun, and just wasting a round.
so, p229, deagle, famas, galil (or mac10, depends on map), tmp, mp5 (sometimes)...
the only reason I can think, is that the look of the sky might determine how much contrast their is between an enemy (standing on a roof or such) and the skybox background.
Contrast is good, but then I can't see my crosshair. :\
I was afraid of that. I think the exact path is dependant on windows version, because mine is different. Mine only had one key with 'Hammer' in it too.
For that matter, just replace Hammer with Bar11 for the search step and that should work too.
As for system restore? shouldn't be an...
It's unsuprising that the carve would not work on a shape like a sphere. It doesn't work real well anyway, and the geometic complexity or a sperical brush could easily break their algorithm.
I've used hollow on them successfully, but it produces odd results.
The 16 division limitation is a...
Ok. I think I have an answer for ya. Watch this space.
[Edit:]
Here we go.
Instructions
Follow these instructions exactly, it should be good.
be verry verry careful... I'm hunting wabbits. I mean, regedit is a dangerous tool.
Close Hammer, if it is open.
Click on the Start...
are you sure it's enabled?
Go View > Screen Elements and make sure everything is checked if you're not sure.
I had trouble trying to get mine to even go off-screen, so I dunno. You could also try the 'Restore Down' windows button (to a regular, non-maximixed, window size) and try resizing it...
no need to ungroup... just select the faces you want to texture when the texture pane is open. Ctrl-click to add to your selection.
kerb. lol. a kurved kerb, maybe? you uk'ers are funny.
Arch tool makes quick work out of something like this. Play with it.
If you do, try:
Hammer: Tools (menu) > Options (menu item) > General (tab) > Uncheck 'Stretch arches and toruses to fit original bounding rectangle'
very helpful for piecing together multiple arches.
Edit: Yeah, I...
B careful with vacuums if you aren't good with computer tinkering. They can generate a lot of static electricity. I use them though, along w/ canned air.
Dunno. It always worked for me when I used it (v. simple maps when I started, if that makes a difference) with CSS, but now I just keep it running in the background.
