I was always wondering why everyone put up a fuss about no hl2dm..
Man this game is hilarious. I picked up a chunk of sink, hurled it at a guy and dinged him in the head. He completely tumbled forwards and nailed the ground. It was awesome. So much fun.
I wrote out everything I've found for what's changed in cs:s scripting from cs 1.6 on the counter-strike.net forums here. It doesn't necessarily start as a basic tutorial for scripting in general, but you could always follow cs-nation's tutorial and apply what's changed in cs:s.
"In a shocking turn of events, Valve singles out and bans player 'colt.45' from it's games, due to massive pressure from a single user posting a single lined comment on unofficial forums."
I don't have 10, but I'll usually see movies simply if they're directed by Steven Spielberg or (especially) P.T. Anderson. I really like Tim Burton as well, but it depends on the movie with him.
Wow..
My only complaint about low-res textures is when you're at the top of the citadel. The city below looks all stretched and blurry. This part was still very cool, but they could have used something better for the ciry in my opinion.
On medium about 20 hours.
Considering valve stated the game was around 30 to 40 hours, and almost everyone here seems to have finished it in under 20, that's pretty disappointing.
I agree with pomegranate quite a bit. I didn't dislike it as much as he did, but ya there were many flaws. I think the massive "this-is-going-to-be-the-best-game-ever-created" hype caused expectations to get too high.
Cons:
- The story wasn't as compelling. There were many times when I'd...
Every vocalist deserves a few listens before you disregard them. I hated Billy Corgan's voice the first time I heard him sing, and now he's probably my favorite musician.
And Thom Yorke of Radiohead is phenomenal as a singer in my opinion. I can't believe so many people have listed him. Not...
They're entertaining. Their live cd is fun to listen to and their older stuff (dude ranch) is again really fun with some really good melodies and whatnot. I probably liked their last cd best, it was the first one I actually bought. The direction they went in turned out really good for them...
In regards to their "greediness", this is how I see it:
Cheap packaging probably can be more attributed to vivendi sinse they're the distributor.
Charging extra for ports? You mean the silver package that literally includes every game they've ever made?
No multiplayer? Sure there's no...
As far as I know that wouldn't work. How would your copy at home know it's been unlocked? It can't go online and check right?
What Valve really needs is a way to activate via phone as well as online, like the two choices for activating Windows XP.
Just wanted to complain about something. There's cracks in the sidewalks in my neighbourhood, and they can trip you. I have tripped twice this way, tripped a few friends and hurt myself a lot.:flame: :flame: :flame:
I love pointing out idiocy.
just from looking through the files.
in your action alias file:
alias +awpshot1 "+attack"
alias -awpshot1 "-attack; slot3; w2; slot1"
be carfull with using slot commands like this. if the user has "hud_fastswitch" set to "0" they'll just end up with the weapon selected in the hud at the...
"the death of st. jimmy" is freakin' awesome. I love the recurring themes in the album, but my absolute favorite is how st jimmy dies near the end. I was more attached to the first half of the cd at first because it grew on me quicker, and there's all these references to st. jimmy and whatnot...
